I'm starting to think this game has the best music out of the Insomniac trilogy. It was hard to choose but I can't stop listening to the music for this game. Which game music is the best for you and/or what's your favourite track?

I still think Spyro 3 was the best in music. Nothing beats Evening Lake Home Theme.

Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer, I can't really choose one favourite track, I can pick out a few though.

Definitely Glimmer,
Idol Springs/Fracture Hills <--See? The same track being repeated yet again, I think that's the only time though?
Aquaria Towers,
Autumn Plains,
Skelos Badlands,
Breeze Harbor,
Zephyr,
Magma Cone,
Robotica Farms,
Metropolis,
Ripto's Arena <-- In my version there's no opera singer, which I think is better.
Dragon Shores.

Well that's 12 out of the 29 soundtracks (roughly) of what I like.
They seem to have more content to them than in Spyro 1, BUT, Spyro 1 would be my second choice, and then Spyro 3, after that, Spyro 5, and finally Spyro 4.

Reason being, I do like the atmosphere, and the simplicity of the soundtracks in Spyro 1.
In Spyro 3, some of the soundtracks feel reminicent of Spyro 2, yet others sound a bit OTT to me, like Fireworks Factory for example, I don't think it suits it. Probably where they let another composer on it as well. I think you should know why for the last two, even Copeland in Spyro 4 really isn't Copeland, there's a couple that sound alright, but most sound horrible, then again, he tried to get the atmosphere, smilie His music probably would have been better if it wasn't for the slowness.

I think that Spyro the Dragon has the best soundtrack of Insomniac trilogy and probably the whole Spyro franchise (Hero's Tail's soundtrack is very good runner-up). It seems to me that each individual level has very fitting music track which makes playing the game even more enjoyable.

I think this one had the best music of the first three (especially Wizard Peak, Dr. Shemp, Blowhard, Town Square, and Lofty Castle), though I'm not bashing the other game's music. They're good too.

My favorite music is from Ripto's Rage, but man, this game had some amazing tracks. The intro was always my favorite.

I think the classic trilogy in general had the best music in the Spyro franchise, hands down.

Spyro: Year of the Dragon has my favorite overall soundtrack. Ripto's Rage is actually my least favorite of Copeland's soundtracks, but it has two of my absolute favorite tracks for their ambient atmosphere, Hurricos and Idol Springs (also, Ripto's Arena with the opera singer is GLORIOUS). Enter the Dragonfly is my second favorite for its wonderful combination of electronica and tribal/ethnic music. The original is number 3 on my list. My favorites from this game are probably Metalhead, Ice Cavern, and Gnasty's Loot.

This game has by far the best music I think. I love some from YoTD, such as Harbor Speedway, but this is my fave. Tracks are:

-Wizards Peak
-Haunted Towers
-Toasty
-Peace Keepers Alternate
-Alpine Ridge
-Misty Bog

Yeah! This! smilie

Anyway, my favourites are...

Title Song: Classic
Artisan's Home: It's memorable for being played the first time you enter the game, and also sounds very good in general. It's quite relaxed, so it has a different feel from many of the other music tracks, as well.
Toasty: I thought this theme had a somewhat menacing tone, which felt very different from a lot of the other tracks. And I found it notable for playing in the last world.
Dry Canyon: I absolutely love how bouncy this theme is... Yet it has a different, "deserty" feel! It's a very underrated track with great pacing, instruments and a feel that matches the level perfectly.
Dr. Shemp: Same reasons as Dry Canyon.
High Caves: EU version is has a pace that matches the level very well, great orchestration, and really feels mystical.
Gnasty's Loot: smilie

I loved them all. Generally, my "favourites" are just the ones I remembered most.

In my opinion Year Of The Dragon's OST is the best, probably due to the updated soundfonts and samples giving it a more varied sound. Spyro 1 is a close second. I've only fairly recently played Spyro 2 due to never owning it when I was young, and I must say I didn't think the OST was that great compared to 1 and 3.

That's probably because you're playing the non-greatest hits version. What is the theme that plays in Sorceress' Lair in yours? It plays the Spike's Arena theme in mine which kicks ass and is much better than Sunrise Spring playing, for some odd reason, and the bland theme that plays in the greatest hits version.

I definitely think that StD had the best music of any of the games, especially the main tune <3 Though to be fair I think all of the trilogy had great music, with some levels better than others throughout. As a whole I do consider the first game the best music-wise though

I love the different sounds and instruments used in StD that varied level-by-level to give each one it's own distinct sounds while still keeping them fairly similar enough that it all sounds connected as one soundtrack (does that make sense omg).

I like quite a bit of Spyro music. Basically, there's not one song I'd not listen to. But, if I'd have to pick a favorite game soundtrack, it'd be Enter the Dragonfly's soundtrack. Stewart just did the best job composing music that fit into the atmosphere of the levels and even if other people hate the game, it's still my 2nd favorite game of ALL TIME! My favorite track from EtD is Monkey Monastery's music. Amazing bassline coupled with the other instruments. Fits so well and sounds SO good! I often listen to it time after time after time, possibly up to 30 times in a row!

Dark Hollow is definitley my favorite song, too! (though I usually say "tied with all the other songs, of course" since I love all the rest of the music too much in the game to have a favorite and not feel bad about itsmilie) I always looked over this song as a kid since its pretty much the easiest level in the game, and definitely the shortest. A recent playthrough made me realize that this didn't make it a bad level, and I gave the level (and music) another chance smilie Also I really love Haunted Towers. The strange thing is, I think Haunted Towers is written in 3/8 time. I never noticed it before

I'm thinking about using a song from this game for an assingment in my music class. The hardest part is picking just one though! I was thinking Jaques since it was on a Stewart Copeland cd, and instead it was called Rain. I also want to use a song from The Eternal Night, but again it's hard to choose. All the songs are so good! smilie

Yeah I do believe that STD has the best music. I especially adore Lofty Castle (and it's level in general is my favourite level).

My second favourite would have to be Year of the Dragon (I adore Fireworks Factory and Midnight Mountain), then Enter the Dragonfly, then Gateway to Glimmer. As a lot of people seem to believe, I think the second game has the worse soundtrack out of all the Spyro games Copeland has worked on, but it's still a great soundtrack despite that.

Ok, I've decided. Gnorc Cove has the best music. I've changed my mind a lot over the years (Misty Bog, Lofty Castle, Dark Hollow, Cliff Town, Wizard Peak, the list goes on) but my current obsession is Gnorc Cove. I think the reason I like this song so much is because it is kinda reminiscent of Sunny beach (my current favorite song in Spyro 2) in terms of its instrumentation.
