Okay, time to be open here. I have an IEP, it's slow maturity. And I was wondering i anyone else has an IEP as well. The only reason why I kept this to myself for all of my DarkSpyro year and months is because I was afraid of people going "Oh what a retard, no wonder she doesn't agree with our ****".

Yeah I sometimes do not understand the situation right away so I just think about it for awhile.

I had a 504, which is similar to an IEP. Now that I'm an adult, I just have accommodations through the Americans with Disabilities Act. When people got word in public school I was bullied relentlessly. That why I disappeared in March 2010... I moved schools. <.<;

Trix, always remember just because you have this disability, doesn't mean you are different, okay? Just because you have to take a minute to understand what you are reading, is nothing to be ashamed of. I think you're really smart, don't let people bring you down. To me the one's that would say nasty things, are the ones that have a problem. Be yourself and ignore those who try to bring you down and make you feel bad.

Because, unlike racist or sexist jokes, these people are generally not able to retaliate. Especially people with mental or psychological disabilities. We may not even know we're being made fun of in the first place. So the ignorance adds even more to the humorous value in targeting people with disabilities.

I once helped teach an IEP class/Special education. I worked with the kids with autism, I still know them to this day, one can craft perfect animal models from cartoons c:

I think for me, it only kicks in during school, as at home, I'm always mature, strict, and calm. School, I'm the annoying kid .-.

The thing is, these "forms" of Autism (Asperger's Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, etc.) are all being eliminated in the upcoming DSM-V. They're being put under the general umbrella term "Autism Spectrum Disorder." <.<

I have a PHYSICAL disability, but not a mental one. If I did have a mental disability, it would probably be that maturity one though.
