...would you say you jump in on something merely because your friends are doing it, be it actions, evens, thoughts or even full opinions, how influenced are you by your friend groups? Has this turned rather bitter or negative for you - have you regretted things or do you not question such actions and behaviours much?

I try to avoid doing things just because someone else does. I agree with my friends on a lot of things anyway though.

I can't say I have done it. I guess is because most of my friends think the same way as me. I used to have a friends that wanted me to do something that would have changed my image in respect from him, but I declined the offer. He laughed at me, but I laughed with him. Appernlty that got him to respect me.

Besides that most of my friends say "Ok" when I decline to a moment like this. It really doesn't happen that often, though.

I try to not give in to peer pressure. Sometimes I do, but if it's something like smoking, I never will.

Very rarely. Never, regarding important life decisions, or things like smoking or drinking.

The only time I can remember doing this is when I started reading Homestuck. I admittedly only started reading it (and continued) because I wanted to get closer to somebody. She loves it so much. I wanted to see for myself why it was so special and important to her. I didn't get an answer directly from her, but I think I understand why.
However, as far as getting closer to her goes, I didn't end up doing that. She invests too much time into the comic to have any time left for us to really talk at all, that is, on top of everything else she does be out doing. It's not something I care about anymore now. I am moving on and trying to keep distance, purely because I want to. Kind of contrary to my reasoning for starting the comic (and no, I don't mean I stopped reading the comic).

At least I enjoy the comic a whole bunch. I think lots of people get the impression that I mildly like it, just because I criticise it, and the fandom, at times. But in truth, I may even value it more than the person who got me into it.

I've liked pretty much everything I've tried for the sake of my friends doing it.

They got me into lifting, for example.

I think peer pressure can be the best motivator, but I'd never drink or something like that. (Not that they would either)
