I have Kharjov. the Kajiit. He is really good he can take on 2 frost trolls.

I was wondering who is the best. I mean overall.

Crap. When was the last time I saved?

I used to have my husband Vilkas follow me around and then he glitched out and would run in place and walk backwards. He was pretty useless.
I now use Teldryn Sero from the Dragonborn DLC. He's cool and has some interesting dialogue.

I hate followers also. For me they just get in the way. But I still like bringing along Cicero sometimes just to hear what he has to say and watch him start dancing out of nowhere.

I now have someone from the college of winter hold. The Nord. I am lvl 32 and he is really good! He is taking on giants and mammoths and winning!

Oh and one more thing...

Why is Cicero so good?

Various NPCs and animals can adhere to you while you're enjoying the experience and be your friend. These supporters can battle by your side; some can also bring your devices and execute other projects.
Everlasting supporters usually become available after you finish a pursuit of some type. And then there are mercenaries for seek the services of in the places and seek the services of certain animals in the experience. You can have at most one long lasting NPC fan and one dog fan whenever they want.

I'm with Kharjo, Marcurio and Torvar the most. They're all good followers.

I'm using a modded follower right now, he's this almost topless barbarian character. I sort of picked him because he looked so cute. He might freeze to death in the cold land of Skyrim, but he'll look good doing it. Just kidding, I take care of my followers. Especially the ones I like.
