my ps2 is not WORKING! [CLOSED]

today I tried to play sly cooper and the thievius raccoonus and it would not work. so my mom tried to clean the disk and it didn't work. now every time I try to play a ps2 game it makes a weird noise. I even tried to play a game that was not broken and the ps2 still wouldn't read the disk. PLESE HELP ME! =(

Laser is dying/dead. Unfortunatly no easy fix. The best thing to do is to get it repiared cheap or buy a new one. Common fault on PS2s.

Gamestop has incredibly cheap used ps2s for 30 bucks or 40 bucks for a slim one. I got a used ps2 there and it works pretty good. So try getting one of those.

Got to Goodwill or Yard Sales if you don't feel like paying 30 bucks for one. I've got a fat PS2 for $7.99 at Goodwill and a Slim for $5.99.

Buy a replacement PS2 at gamestop before june.
Gamestop in my city, the announcements that play in the store on the speakers said that starting june 1st 2013 PS2 systems and games will no longer be sold at gamestop or eb games stores.

PS2 systems are only $40 at GS, so dont miss it.

you have to do it. On the top right of the screen there should be a button saying close topic, or you have to edit your first post and then it should pop up.
