I grew up playing Sony's PlayStation and never really got a chance to play many Nintendo games until the past few years with the Wii.

I am in need of some Nintendo games that can be played on the Wii since that's the only Nintendo console that I own right now but lucky for me it can play Gamecube games and I can download various classic games too.

So tell me, what are some good games that I've missed out on? I mostly enjoy platformers and action-adventures but I'm open to try RPGs too.

I should probably tell you what I own already:

Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario 64
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Sonic Adventure 2
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Mario Galaxy
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (and soon Skyward Sword)
Kirby's Epic Yarn
Epic Mickey
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams
Sonic Colours

Mario party and kart are fun in my opinion. Also if I recall people liked the Tak games for the gamecube.

Kirby's Return to Dreamland. It harps a lot on nostalgia for Kirby Super Star, but it really is a fun platformer and a great single player or multiplayer experience. <.<;

I'd suggest New Super Mario Bros. Wii, if you've got some friends to play with.

Try Rayman Origins, if you like platformers you'll love this game.

Donkey Kong Country Returns if you're looking for an awesome platforming experience. The Metroid Prime Trilogy if you're looking for 3 stellar 3D exploration adventures!

Super Mario World if you want a mix of platforming challenges and exploration. It's on the Virtual Console.

Honestly, every game suggested here has been excellent. You could close your eyes and point to the screen and be set.

^This. A multiplayer Kirby game is an idea nobody but lunatics can ignore!

On that note, you can get a few Kirby games on the Virtual Console.

Though, I wouldn't get Kirby Super Star there. If you are to get that game, wait until you have a DS, and buy Kirby Super Star Ultra, which is a better version of the game.

Metroid prime trilogy. It still looks great has awesome music and is one of the best trilogys ever. And it is not an fps it's an fpa (first person adventure).

Alternatively, get Kirby's Dream Collection. It has Kirby's Dreamland 1-3, Kirby Super Star, AND Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, along with bonus challenge content using the Return to Dreamland engine.
