Except the Giants Portal makes the appropriate figures light up, whereas the SA Portal doesn't. So the Giants Portal is basically better. --- Occupation: Skylander Hunter

the first portal makes the right figures light up <.< i tested that one when i first got lc prism break lol didnt even have giants at the time

i have the ssa portal and tree rex do light up on it when playing.... so the giants should light up on both portals...

I wanted to just find a used copy of the game and save some money. Can I play the Wii version of Spyro with the Wii U portal on the Wii U?

Easy test: Do other Wii games work on the Wii U? If others do, SSA should too... There's certainly a question whether the SSA portal would work, but since the SG portal works that's not really a concern, now is it? I would think the SSA portal should work, though. People are reporting that the SG portal works on SSA, so there's no reason it wouldn't on the Wii U, as long as it can read and play Wii games.
