The only appeared as cameo in there.

Sadly that comic is only on Gamestop(The Bowser and D.K. one, not the Rift into Overdrive).

So, a random thought just crossed my mind.
Spoiler in case someone didn't read Rift into Overdrive yet:

apparently the Rift Engines were locked inside an underwater vault most likely for centuries so no way anyone could have reached them.
And they apparently are what makes a Skylander undergo a supercharged transformation.
Fine.
This however rises up a few questions.

First of all... Why didn't they changed the new guys' appareance as well?
Why do Spitfire, Fiesta, Dive-Clops and Stormblade look the same before getting tuned with an Engine as they do after...?
Maybe they already fit the role of pilots so there was no need to transform them but still, Rift Engines unlock all new abilities... That would seem like a rather weak explanation.

And also why does the game show certain SuperChargers fighting against The Darkness during the Spellpunks Library level and apparently using Rift Engines and vehicles...?
Maybe they were already able to use them but then they were cast away for so long they forgot where they were hidden?


I'm confident future issues will explain that along with other things (like Light and Dark for example).
Speaking of Nightfall...

A likely explination for the Spell Punk Library is that they just represent the previous Super Chargers, and it wasnt' actually them.

filler this.

It's sooorta implied that Eon was in contact with them before, and they had found their own Engines in some way.As seen in one of the level 1 cutscenes, they need them to power the vehicles.

Oh, that's true.

But I kinda thought the vehicles could act as simple vehicles without the Engines.
No powers but they could still move.

Moreover if each vehicle has a Rift Engine inside them (since all the characters can use them) but all the SuperChargers have an Engine as well... How many of those devices are out there (also counting the one inside the Ancients' Vault...?

Spoiler just in case it needs to be.

Nice, the rest of the issues take place after the game. I don't know why but, the way Kaos called Mags minion reminded of when Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z called Bulma servant woman.

RIFT INTO OVERDRIVE WASN'T THE FIRST FEW COMICS! YES

And yeah, it's a sequel to SC as well.

Glad to see Spyro's jerk side actually. Remember, he's the one whose greatest fear is seeing Eon in danger, and considered killing Kaos in cold blood. If there's someone Kaos should mind his words near it's him, even if for once he doesn't deserve the yelling.

Also, the missing Elites? Seems to tie into that variant cover.

The Book of Kaos is out now, and the whole book is written AND edited by Kaos. With info about the Trap Team villains and Doom Raiders, including the Light and Dark ones. It also has a story of Kaos evilizing Flynn, which made him an intelligent minion for a short while.

  • Greedy - she has a desire for all things gold
  • Thinks nothing of turning innocent people into precious metal
  • Easily angered and does not tolerate failure

Did You Know?
The Golden Queen's desire for gold knows no bounds whatsoever. She'll go anywhere, do anything, and hurt anyone if it means getting her hands on even a single coin of the shiny stuff. Once a band of pirates caught her fiddling with their treasure chest, which they'd believed was safely buried. The Squidface Brute crew didn't take kindly to thieves (which is ironic as they'd originally stolen the treasure themselves) and decided to teach her a lesson. Little did they know, the Golden Queen can absorb gold into her body to make herself bigger, so after absorbing all their precious booty, she kicked them all in their precious bootles. Get it? Bootles! HA-HA-HA!

THE RACE IS ON as undead driver (and mariachi musician) Fiesta roars into the spotlight! It's definitely going to be "Party Time" when Fiesta and his Crypt Crusher take on a robot army bent on destruction of the Skylands. Skull-face musical mayhem ensues!


Also...

Full cover of The Light in the Dark comic bundle, coming out in January 2016. Poor Spotlight getting pummeled (the logo's blocking Blackout).

She's a major character in the comic, it's why she's there.

Though she never actually battles WITH the dark and light skylanders,she's busy elsewhere.

Huh,that person on Instagram that has the Strata book got quite the interesting book covers from mini-packs on TRU.

I wasnt meaning that directly. I was commenting on the fact that at the end after they won he was randomly in his Christmas outfit for one frame eventhough he was not wearing it earlier.

Am I the only one who thinks they should use Jack Lawrence (The artist of issue #12 of TT) A TON more? I love Fico and his art, but sometimes his art looks lifeless and stiff, not to mention that he uses a lot of poses from official images and art that look out of place. JW never looks like that. JW is great with expressions and making the characters look accurate to the games.

Don't get me wrong, when Fico does well, he does amazingly well (Not to mention the coloring) it's just that I feel like JW is better. Fico, from what it seems, is likely not familiar with drawing in a cartoony style, so he tries his best with it.

SuperChargers Issue 1 is out now.


  • Spyro argues with Kaos (who had appointed himself Evil Consultant of Ultimate Evil of the Skylanders Academy at the end of SSC), believing he is up to no good.
  • Spyro and Kaos are then forced to work out a plan together when Buzz points out that his elite team of Skylanders, Voodood, Boomer and Ghost Roaster, have gone missing for months.
  • Spyro (and Kaos) assign Spitfire, Stormblade, and Nightfall their very first mission as Skylanders to find Voodood, Boomer and Ghost Roaster.
  • The three SuperChargers arrive at what's left of Motleyville where Voodood, Boomer and Ghost Roaster were last seen and are attacked by Spell Punks, which they manage to defeat on-foot.
  • Spitfire, Stormblade and Nightfall are taken by surprise when Voodood, Boomer and Ghost Roaster attacked and knocked them all unconcious, and the three Eon's Elites are working for Spellmazer?!

Whoo, that's some Mask of Power level of twist :3

Obligatory is Nightfall just catchphrase or does she show any personality. Still too short on money to afford these comics, though I think by 2 I might be able to start buying again since I'm close to being able to pay the bills until February.
