Probably. Fright riders path choices seem like Bash. Lance a lot is like granite and jouster is like pulver.

Fright Riders Sir Lancelot path looks pretty powerful. Would that be the best one for PVP?

Yes.
He's more like Voodood with a proper dash move.
Down Sir Lance A Lot the standard melee does 42 damage.

Jet-Vac Bird Blaster:
Bird Blaster is EASILY the superior choice for Jet-Vac. Remember how the main problem with Vac-Packeteer is that he can only use The Mulcher well?
Well, not only does Bird Blaster do long-range better, but he actually outclasses Vac-Packeteer at the job of using the vacuum: you get an enemy within the max-damage range of the vacuum once and you charge up a shot that does a huge SIXTY damage, which makes Vac-Packeteer's intended expertise using it look pathetic, and only gets better with the Soul Gem Armor upgrade.
Enemy is trying to run away or hit from afar? Not a problem, Bird Blaster can cover that because his standard attack, unlike Vac-Packeteer, can actually deal good damage if used repeatedly(15 a hit and it can hit quite often).
As for Flight... Honestly, this path just proves how menial the boost on that was on the other path because you can pretty much instantly recharge it by sucking in air with the vacuum. (And the duration is still fine anyway, just use it as an emergency escape move- not to mention you can do so, plus then land and vacuum in the enemy to recover it, and charge that super shot at the same time... Two birds with one stone eheheheh...)
Don't even consider Vac-Packeteer... Bird Blaster does everything better and is more fun anyway.

Swarm is almost definitely going to be the flying path. Giants are too slow to be workable without an extra perk like that, and besides, there are other melee giants that wreck things up-close with greater damage and precision than Swarm. His big advantage is that, while all of the other Giants move at a snail's pace, Swarm can travel. Don't let that aspect of him go, because then he'll just be Crusher -1.

#69 Posted: 21:06:22 22/10/2012
I don't think there's an actual path for only flight. The only upgrade you get for flight on his paths is razor wings (wings hurt foes) the other upgrades on this path focus on his barbs.

For tree rex his charging path

His lasor path is overpowered. If you go down his charge path you get the elbow drop which is very helpfull when sourouned by monsters. It is also nice that he can go faster and have a 62-78 (I think)damage attack.

For shroomboom his shield path

On his slingshot path he only gets one upgrade to up his attack. The others are where his paratroopers stick to your enimies and do barly any damage and fire 3 of them not doing any increased damage. As for his other path his barrier does damage,it grows bigger and you are able to burrow like terrafin doing damage to anything you hit

Best path for Swarm?

Flying path. Since he is a lumbering Giant, he will need all the speed he can get. This path gives him the great escape options that most Giants don't have. The swarm path is useful, but leaves him vurnerable.

No contest on Flight path...
The Swarm path is... Just... Weird. It's got sort of cool attacks, but in terms of actual attacking moves, it seems useless.
Flight path gives you a sweet bonus on the damage and makes the flight last longer and to me it would seem broken among Giants.

"HERE'S SOMETHING TO STEEL WITH!" Sprocket's awesomeness, that is. Darn, Operator sounds like so much useful fun! I'm glad she seems worth my wait! smilie (I mean... Due just to how much I like her character, I probably would have had bias to her playstyle anyway. smilie But I'll be getting three or four Sprockets regardless, so getting to play both paths is happening for me.)

I haven't tried them yet but I agree with both these being my likely future picks.
The laser path on Tree Rex is, indeed, ridiculously overpowered, and his laser is already a fine attack anyway, the Lumbering Laserer is more POWERFUL if you want POWER, but otherwise it just makes a fun secondary move boringly spammable.
While the triple Mushroom Paratroopers on Shroomboom is interesting, the damage increase on that path is very useless, because- like Pop Fizz's potions- they're already a fine projectile attack. I did not try that path, and I am not considering it, because the primary move is already fine, and the Paratrooper attacks would never be worth it due to how simply frustrating they are to use in serious battle anyway.

Lance a lot. He will become a melee beast! I destroyed my brothers Cynder with him. The combos are pretty cool too.

Agreed. The speed gained by flying rids himself of the main downside of the Giants: Their horrendous speed.
