Not really. The stars never get any damage boost, and the latching stars only do 2 damage a tick.

I haven't tried Ultimate Rainbower, but Tempest is very solid and probably the overall strongest and cheap Air champion.
Drobotdude Blue Sparx Gems: 622
#1608 Posted: 15:40:09 03/08/2012
I have seen Whirlwind on the ultimate rainbower path and it just SUCKS! The Ultimate Rainbow barely does any damage and won't compete as a hurler with boomer. Just testing your knowledge.

Drobot all the way!

Oh, Boomer is definetly the best hurler. The only character that comes close is GMB Trigger Happy, who is still worse because of lower HP. Come to think of it, there aren't many hurlers at all smilie
Drobotdude Blue Sparx Gems: 622
#1610 Posted: 15:48:28 03/08/2012
In Giants, Triggs has more HP. But that is because of lvl 15. Everyone else will be able to lvl up too, so Triggs will still have low HP which really sucks because he has super powerful attacks that can almost compare with Boomer

Don't switch to clockwork dragon for Drobot. You either pick master blaster or you need to get your head examined.

I don't even know how they made such a huge oversight with Trigger Happy's HP. Even worse, although his attacks are powerful, they aren't anywhere near broken, removing his "glass canon" point.

I haven't played all characters or paths on the console, but I'll give it a shot.

smilie & Variants - Both paths are great. Sheep Burner is less situational, but does less damage than Blitz, whereas Blitz is more situational as the charge requires straight aim, but is just much more strong.
smilie - Total Tongue is useless in PVP and mediocre in Story. Ultimate Spinner is strong but difficult to control. Ultimate Spinner is better overall, at least it's powerful...
smilie - I haven't played both paths but Marauder is GODLY.
smilie & Legendary - Granite Dragon gives insane power in both modes with a simple swipe doing 80 damage. I haven't played Pulver but it would probably be less useful.
smilie - I've only played Crystaleer but it seems to be the right choice. I hardly ever use the lasers on their own.
smilie - I haven't tried Earthen Avenger but Grand Boomerang Master is DEFINETLY S-Tier.
smilie - Sandhog practically grants you perma-invincibility that also damages. Brawler is probably still solid though.
smilie - Glacier Yeti is good for Story but useless in PVP. Blizzard Brawler is solid in both modes.
smilie - Only tried Tesla Dragon and it's below average.
smilie - Harpooner is poor because both Jetpack and Water Hose become useless while the harpoon itself does little damage. Water Weaver is infinitely better, being able to damage with all his attacks while being a fun and solid, highly underrated fighter.
smilie - Haven't tried Commander Crab but Captain Crustacean is a solid and quick melee fighter.
smilie - Didn't even CONSIDER Blademaster as I always saw Flame Soul as the premier attack...
smilie - Blaze Dragon is mediocre in both modes.
smilie - I went with Pyromancer only, but I'm guessing they'd be equal.
smilie - Demolition Troll turns him into a great hurler.
smilie - Master Blaster is boringly powerful. Broken. I want to switch to Clockwork.
smilie & Legendary - Golden Frenzy is a bad version of Drobot. Golden Money Bags is a powerful glass canon.
smilie - Bone Crafter is great in Story but mediocre in PVP. I haven't tried Shade Master.
smilie - It's been settled that Nether Welder is better on PSC360 and Shadowdancer on Wii.
smilie & Legendary - Both paths are awfully frail and weak. Vampiric Warrior, you may as well give him something that can damage at all.
smilie - Skull Master is completely superior for PSC360 and both versions of Story, but Fear Eater is SO much better in PVP on Wii.
smilie - Only tried Tempest.
smilie - Medea. The roar is strong enough, and Siren doesn't give any good boosts in the PVP department.
smilie - Eye of The Storm. No contest.
smilie - I've only tried Lightning Lord. He has solid long range attacks down it.
smilie - Vine Virtuoso is more balanced and powerful overall and gives him the long-range attack Melon Master lacks.
smilie - Nut Crafter is the only one I've tried but at least he's not another Life melee down it.
smilie - Haven't tried Artilleryman and I don't want to, Floral Defender is simply... Epic.
smilie - I haven't tried Forest Ninja but down Pook Blade Saint she becomes the single most broken meleeist in the game.

I didn't get a PM...

Camo is pretty good on either path. If you like big range go vine virtuoso, if you like deffense and big power go melon fountain. I prefer vine virtuoso because of the super long range

Camo I went down the Melon Master path if I'm not mistaken. On the Wii, the Vine Virtuso path gets nerfed for whatever reason, but the Melon Master path has thus far been really fun. I don't think there's really a correct answer for that though.

As for the others:
Spyro/L-Spyro/Dark Spyro, Wrecking Ball, Voodood, Double Trouble, Drill Sarge, Drobot, Trigger Happy/L-Triggs, Boomer, Gil Grunt, Zap, Slam Bam, Eruptor, Flameslinger, Ignitor, Bash/L-Bash, Terrafin, Prism Break, Dino-Rang, Stealth Elf, Stump Smash, Zook, Chop Chop/L-Chops, Ghost Roaster, Hex, Cynder, Sonic Boom, Whirlwind and Lightning Rod can all be found here

The ones I'm missing are:

Warnado: Took the Eye of the Storm path. Someone stated that the Wind Master path's tornado's AI is pretty useless after they defeat one enemy. Haven't tried it but.
Wham Shell: Captain Crustacean. Beating stuff with a mace=fun. It's better than the starfish in my opinion.
Sunburn: Took the Blaze Dragon path because I like having the breath attacks for the Skylanders. Everyone says the Flame Lord path is better for PvP, but in story mode, I think Blaze Dragon is better. hah.

You had to ask for the ones I haven't tried both paths of. smilie

smilie- Ultimate Spinner, It's better in both modes. Total Tongue is mediocre in Story and awful in Battle.
smilie- Blaze Dragon is good in Story but TERRIBLE in Battle.
smilie I've only tried Lightning Lord and it's pretty solid.

Drobotdude has as much of a right to ask a question as you do-and if you're going to be rude about it then Tash might not answer your question.

Drobotdude, since no one seems to have answered your question, Wrecking Ball is definitely best on Ultimate Spinner. He's not the strongest by any means, but can be pretty powerful when mastered-and Total Tongue is extremely weak.

With Rod, go for the Grand Lightning Summoner. It gives you a pretty good ranged attacker killer, but does fail quite epically against melee attackers. The other path is the exact opposite-only it fails against a few close up attackers as well making the former better.

Flame Lord all the way for Sunburn. It makes him a major threat-and is excellent against many melee attackers like Bash and even Stealth Elf IMO. Blaze Dragon pales in comparison, as it is far less versatile and hard to hit and much slower. Really great fire skylander down Flame Lord-second best IMO after SoTF Ignitor.

But if you think about it, while sunburn delays the teleport, he can still be attacked and damaged. Plus for lightning rod, typhoon titan gives you more use of your soul gem.

Now, Drobotdude, look at the cons for blazethrower. It only does increased damage after you charge it, which can be interrupted. Also, you move slower while breathing, which makes it even easier to interrupt the attack.

I agree that the blazethrower can be interrupted, but you can swirl around in circles to take out a circle of enemies that are honing in on you. The only downside is that you can't take out projectiles. The only skylanders that can block projectiles is chop chop because he has a shield, ghost roaster can avoid them while in ectoplasm mode, and bash can deflect them with his tennis tail.

Sunburn: For him, why Flame Lord? While delaying the teleportation, you can be attacked, damaged, and interrupted. While Blaze Dragon if your surrounded, you can just spin around in a circle to take out all the enemies while getting an attack boost while attacking. Plus you won't be interrupted.

Lightning Rod:Typhoon Titan is what I went for because you get more use of your soul gem.

Wrecking Ball:I just reset him bout 10 minutes ago so I could go for Ultimate Spinner. This path has the edge on him and Total Tongue is sort of fun, but the tongue extension just doesn't do increased damage. The lightning tongue just gives you 1/2 a second boost for your tongue attack. That's the downside. The only good thing is that he can pick up coins and food with his tongue attack.

And that is my review on these three skylanders.
