So I just finished upgrading my hex down the shademaster path and was wondering if anyone thought I should reset her to go down the bone crafter path. I like the path I am on, but I think it is not quite the best. So should I reset her?

Thanks

For me personally, Eye of the Storm for Warnado, and Melon Master, for Camo

I've got to say, and this surprised me a bit to be perfectly honest, Floral Defender for Zook. The defenses are respectable, and annoying for opponents; damaging, and a knock-back effect. The difference in power between his first and second upgrades of the bazooka (23 and 34, respectively) isn't really large enough to warrant picking an entire path for it. MIRV Mortar and Mortar of Life are a great combination, and combined with his plain cactus shield, Zook can have half the field blocked off in damaging barriers within a few seconds. I'd honestly say he out-Bonecrafters Bonecrafter Hex. Artilleryman is a fine path overall, but Floral Defender appears to be a beast.

As for Lightning Rod... I'm not entirely sure yet. Lightning Lord appears to be better, but as of writing this, I'm one upgrade from finishing Typhoon Titan, and will after the baby goes to sleep. We'll see how that goes.

Of the two, I do find Zook to be the stronger character.

Yeah, th' Zookster and his Floral Defense path took me by surprise, too. DAT MIRV MOTAR+MOTAR OF LYFE~ x3

i agree with eye of he storm especially for pvp down that path with his charge attack upgrade makes him annoying to hit and he is easily the best air element but saying that really isnt much when compared to the other air elements.

As for Camo either or works fine Camos problem lies with stealth elf and zook both steal the thunder away from camo but i enjoyed the firecracker vine path more than melon master

For Stealth Elf, I wouldn't say the best upgrade in the Pook Blade Saint path aren't the combos, but the Shadowsbane Blade Dance. It just, like, doubles or triples her(smilie's)damage potential.
It's also pretty awesome due to you being able to "Barrel Roll" enemies, because of the rotation movement and damage effect the blades attain around you.Sure, it's not enough to defeat anyone apart from Chompies, Cruncher, Gnashers and Flame Imps, but it certainly qualifies for a pseudo-preemptive-melee-strike.
Also, do you think the Spyro series should be turned into a TV show or a movie?

the blades also double the damage of the combos, especially blade flurry

about voodoo, elementalist is still good, especially for pve

Though I heard the Doubles were very fun if you'd prefer that (though he's weaker).

CAMO IS A BEAST!

He is one of those Skylanders you want 2 of, because both paths are good, while one is better.

MELON MASTER, FTW!

His Sunburst attack can only be upgraded once. When upgraded, it does 13 damage, with a critical hit of 19.

His Firecracker Vines, when down the Melon Master path (meaning not his Firecracker Vine path), does 10 a hit, with a critical hit of 15.

NOTE: Down his Melon Master path, his Firecracker Vine move only shoots out one vine, plus fruit. This means you get about 3-4 fruits on there that do 10 damage each. If an enemy is on top of the vine, that makes for about 3-4 hits at 10-15 a hit.

His Melon Fountain moves, fully upgraded down his Melon Master path, do 60 a hit. Multiple melons can hit the same enemy, thus dispatching them rather quickly. The critical hit on the melons are a whopping 90 DAMAGE!

However, the vines on the ground, before the melons spawn, do 19 to any enemy who touches them. So, it's possible for an enemy to touch the vine for 19, followed by melon hits of 60-90.

The cool thing about Melon Master, is you can hide inside the melons, by holding B, instead of them just popping up and dispersing themselves. You can let go of B anytime you're ready to send the melons flying. You can't do this down his Firecracker Vine upgrade path.

Camo's Soul Gem has potential. You shoot your Sunburst, but hold A, which causes a Sunburst to circle around him. You can do this up to three times, for three Sunbursts which act as a shield.

Why this is cool down the Melon Master path, is because not only can he hide inside melons that do 60-90 damage per melon contact, but if you have three Sunbursts circling you, it makes him have a preverbial force field around him. If an enemy - or someone in PVP - gets near him, if the Sunbursts don't hurt him, one just needs to let go of the B button for a potential 60-180 or 90-270 damage attack.

Melon Master is the way to go, but the other path is decent, whereas many other Skylanders have an upgrade path that is mediocre at best.

It's one of the reasons I have two open sets of Skylanders.

I am able to find out the damage output for each Skylander based on each path.

I forgot to add in my first Camo analysis, that by default, Camo's Melon Fountain move does 30 a hit. It reaches 60 once you start upgrading down the Melon Master path. I will do a quick analysis of his Vine Virtuoso path in about 5 minutes and report the damage output here and such.

Maybe I missed them but if you want to make a side by side comparison for more of the characters then I'd like to see it. the raw data is useful, but the explanation of the different playstyles with each path. What you like and don't like is really what I think most people want to know to decide which path.

I played the Magna path with Eruptor in PVE and lobbing the fireballs at weak enemies was fun. Especially with the splash damage he can clear a room full of chompies no problem. But I notice in PVP he is useless down that path. Not enough range, speed or damage dealt. I've heard the Volcano path is better especially on the Wii because it is instantaneous. However, I play on the XBOX 360 and I'm not sure if his lava barf is any faster. Under the Magna path the lava attack is painfully slow and does minimal damage. Should I reset him?

Yeah, soon as my Whams come in. They've been shipped. I just put below, that I own all 37, because I technically do. They are on some plane flying to me as we speak. However, I wonder if I should update once I get Wham on my wall, or should I wait until I get the final triple pack, which I still lack? I may end up doing it when Wham comes, because who knows when the final triple pack will release.

I GOT SOME CRAZY INFO FOR PEOPLE HERE!

Camo on Wii is aparently glitched on the Melon Master path. A friend of mine, on Gamefaqs, who I helped get Camo and Warnado, took his Camo down Melon Master.

He told me on Wii, the damage goes higher than 30, even after all upgrades, for his Melon Fountains. They're supposed to do 60 a hit, with 90 critical hit.

He also said the vines that sprout before growing melons, won't do 19 damage, like they do in the other versions of the game.

That is one crazy glitch.

Okay, here's how it works.

Camo's - pre-Melon Master - Melon Fountain does 30 damage. You don't go from 5 to 8 melons until you select the Melon Master upgrade path. Once you start upgrading down that path, you get more melons, melons do more damage, and finally Camo can hide himself insidea barrier of melons.

The second upgrade takes the damage output of melons, from 30 damage, to 60 damage with a critical hit of 90.

A person I helped on Gamefaqs, who goes by the name Rossmcandy, tells me that Camo outputs 30 damage on his maxed out Melon Master Camo, where the melons should be outputting 60-90 damage. He plays on the Wii, while I main the 360/PS3/PC versions.

So, it's an obvious glitch, because they wouldn't advertise a move that increases damage, but the damage never increases. smilie

Oh, and the vines that pop out of the ground, before the melons grow on top of them, do 19 damage if an enemy touches it. That damage never increases during the upgrade process.

I don't think this is the subject of a nerf on behalf of Toys for Bob. I think it's a glitch, because why would they sell an upgrade to Camo's Melon Fountain, that increases the damage (from 30 to 60), but keep it at 30?

I mean Bash and Stump Smash, by default, do 40 damage with Bash's tail swipe and Stump's melee attacks.

Plus, the move advertises a damage increase, which I see plain as day on the 360 version. I will confirm Rossmcandy's notion when I get home.

So...does Sandhog carry any bonus in damage to Bellyflop or punches?
Sure, the Fin does damage, plus it's the most praised characteristic of his.
Call me stupid, but I like a mixed style of attack.So...yeah...I need something to boost those.
This is reason enough to try both.I'm not a coward, but I'm not the kind of brawler that takes on foes bigger than me, if you get me.
Also, Stealth Elf would be so broken if it had a projectile. It would be able to evade and attack in the same direction.
Which reminds me, I have a trick with smilie.Actually, two.
The first, if you're not predicted, is to zig-zag in their direction. If you're daring and have great reflexes, you'll be able to avoid all projectiles, and approach. The second could be used with the projectiles. Also to improve the first. So, you do the Acrobatic attack. But don't hold.Just scratch the direction. When the move is done, you'll face the direction you were originally facing. Then fire away.If your foe dodges running...he's brutally done.
Just do the second trick on the direction he's headed(your left or right)and fire.
Also a note:I only did the second trick on a Wii.

Sandhog's belly flop is exactly the same as Brawler's. Punches aren't upgraded on the Sandhog path.

The main reason to pick Sandhog isn't the damaging fin, or even the homing sharks. Tremendous assets, both, but the real reason to pick Sandhog is the speed upgrade for tunneling, which enables much faster pursuit that Brawler can't match.

Also, for those who have the PS3/360 version, it's good to use the burrowing of Sandhog to avoid the lasers during the Undead element fight, so you can get the trophy/achievement.
