I agree, it looks like Ignitus. It could have been a mistake in the game. I wonder though, what was it's original purpose?

Drat, looks like it's been removed/fixed in the Wii version (PAL at least).

But great find, that looks like Ignitus to me too (although I'd love it so much if it were Flame). Could it be from the Dragon's Peak set?

I'm getting the PS3 version after the holidays, so I wanna see if it's in that version, if anyone that has the PS3 version checks it out, then yay, I want to see in what versions this is in. I currently only have it on 3DS.

Maybe they were supposed to fly around in the background, and it didn't work for some reason so they scrapped it but forgot to take it out?
It doesn't look intentional, because they aren't posed at all.

Kind of reminds me of Spore :3

Definitely looks like Flame to me. Not frilly or old enough to be Ignitus. Either are awesome regardless.

All of the levels have a character that relates to it, right? I have a felling that this could relate to the Dragon's Peak adventure pack. For example, when you unlock the level that Dragon will arrive in a reachable location and you talk to him to go to Dragon's Peak... Just a theory anyway.

I have that feeling too. That red dragon there that looks like Flame may most likely be the character that will lead you to Dragon's Peak when you get the Adventure Pack, similar to how the Pirate Ship in the Pirate Seas Adventure Pack takes you to the Pirate Seas level.

Am I the only one wondering why that bit where you see Mr Flame look-a-like is even there? It juts out like it's some sort of place where something SHOULD be, but there's nothing. Just a big ol' hill. I bet he was probably some character that was supposed to take you someplace (probably the Fire source) but they decided to cut him out. I mean, sure, Persephone's there, but she's not all the way out there. It looks like something should be there.

Easter egg is hidden stuff in games, movies, etc. that the makers intentionally left behind to find, and the link in the first post takes you to a video that shows what this is about.

Oooh, thanks! I somehow missed the link.

But woah. That's really cool. It definitely looks like the dragon you see really quickly in the trailer. His horns curve back and everything.

The red dragon looks like a red version of spyro, just a bit bigger. Maybe if they were testing with it, it might have been a different size or something.

Well, I know like in Call of Duty: World at War...if you glitch out of the level "Vendetta" even if you didn't complete the level, you can see Reznov in default T-stance in the water where he jumps out of the building at the end.
