I stopped by Best Buy to use a $10 Shopkick credit I earned for free a while back. I was figuring it would get me a free character pack, since I already had 12 there's not many more left to get without buying the adventure packs.

While I was there I found out that Best Buy price matches Toys R Us, including this weeks "Buy 2 get 3rd Free" promotion. So low and behold I was able to pick up Eruptor, Voodood, and Stump Smash for a grand total of $6.53 out of pocket.

Plus they gave me a poster too for free. Just the one that comes with game with the 32 characters on it, except about 20% larger in size.

Considering that the Shopkick money really was free and not a gift certificate, this was a heck of a deal.

Now the only individual character to get for me is Boomer. I still need all 2 of the adventure packs and the Toys R Us Legendarys.

gotta love price matches.

only drawback is that the darklight crypt seems to be only available at toysrus.

Seeing how I don't have any credit towards Best Buy, this deal is no different than TRU's. So I'll probably stick there.

I think I'll go over to Best Buy to take advantage of the deal.

I was in TRU today, and they had a small selection. There was no Drobot, and the only Zap they had was sideways in the package, as if he got drunk and passed out. Not just that, but they also had a price rise. The 3 packs costed $23, and the single character packs cost $9.50. I just walked out of the store, having wasted my time.

Serves me right for thinking Times Square's TRU would be normal priced.....

^I'm pretty sure it was just for that particular TRU, seeing how Manhattan (especially Times Square) is ungodly expensive ($5 for a hot dog). And seeing how some tourists are dumb enough to buy the stuff anyway, they can get away with it. So as a result, several items in Times Square TRU are more expensive than they should be.

Oh okay. I was going to say that would disappoint me.

Another major bummer is Wal Mart doesn't have individual figs or adventure packs where I live. They have really under estimated.

^Why buy from Walmart? They treat their employees like crap.

Lots of places treat their employees like crap. And people don't go to Walmart because of their staff, they go there because of the convenience and low prices.
