I had to restart in Darkwater Cove because a mis aimed jump from a jump pad landed me somewhere I couldn't get away from.

Was that a hut? Because if so, I had the EXACT same problem.

And to top it all off, as we were playing 2Player, the game glitched and removed the wrong Skylander from the game and got us both stuck D:

It was just a promotional trailer, it's not in-game. The in-game Skylanders have zero personality and never speak during a single cutscene.

That's so disappointing to me.

^It's a plus to me, at least on the voice part.

@Darby: Same here. You only hear them speak when they get placed on the portal and appear in the game. Some of them start off speaking random gibberish but as their level gets higher, they're able to talk properly. Whereas when you speak to NPC's, they're pretty much typical RPG characters.

Sometimes I prefer a silent protagonist. Kinda allows me to set up the personality for myself.

Something I really like in games is to see the characters interact and watch the cutscenes, so I'm disappointed. I personally was quite aaaalright with the voices
CAV Platinum Sparx Gems: 6253
#108 Posted: 22:00:18 17/10/2011
Most of the voices were rather annoying. This includes Spyro when he's trying to sound serious and menacing.

@Darby: That's one of the reasons why I'm getting Sonic Generations over this.

Silent, cutesy version of a character, interacting with sleek, chatty version of same character = WIN! smilie

Mahh. I didn't know until now that they were silent. I'm disappointed. (third time, i know) I wonder if I'll end up getting it.

There's two Tails too, isn't there?

I agree with this. It's been fun making up personalities for the characters I got. X3

I prefer them being quiet. And the fact their vocabulary expands as they level up is cool.

Indeed there is.

Or the characters from original medal of honor games.

Or even "The Rookie" from ODST

Or the protagonists from Phantasy Star Online/Universe/Zero (though some of the games do give you dialogue choices; one game even makes it a point to have characters comment on how silent the protagonist usually is).

They also talk quite a lot when you kill something.

Stealth Elf is the best of hearing combat taunts

The game JUST arrived, and me and my brother just finished the first mission.

I like it so far. Though it seems rather easy. I hope it gets harder later.

^Get a 360, PS3, 3DS or Wii.

I suggest 360 since it's the cheapest of them all (not including the Wii), and of course, there's Halo.

EDIT: I am rather disappointed that there is no online multiplayer. Battle mode would've been pretty good online.

Yeah, according to dark52, it gets really tough when you get to Kaos.

A reason why the "kill Kaos with one skylander" is so difficult. Dark52 said he got it by only fighting Kaos with his max-leveled Trigger Happy.

Also CAV, comparatively speaking, is Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure like Skylanders: Spyro's Universe in terms of gameplay, medals (or achievments), "discovering fauna"? Or are the two completely different.

And, is SSA better or worse than SSU. Is it much better, a little better, about the same, worse, much worse.

i got it, and well....... i like it. Very weird yea. I Hated it 100% until i played it. Its OK.
I give it a 6.0/10.0. The only reason why, is the graphics are not that good, the voices are bad, and the camera view is weird. BUT i do like cynder, spyro and moneybags "auric" coming back.

^Hard to decide. Both require you to use batteries in your portal. smilie

I guess it depends on your choice of controller. If you prefer the PS3 controller over the Wii remote, do that. Also let it be noted that I heard it takes slightly longer for the toy to register on the Wii than on the PS3 or 360.

I ordered the X360 and 3DS versions of the game. I won't get them until in November since I ordered them from work (but since they are free, I wont complain).

I can't wait to have them ;___;

ok, so i just completed the game. and i have a few things to say.

this game looks like it focused more on spyro, gill grunt, and trigger happy than spyro.
it would be kewl if kaos would be a playable skylander.
i was able to defeat him without fully upgrade my characters.
the game hints so much that you go and buy more skylanders. smilie
the music is nice.
this game was very fun.

I bought the game yesterday (much earlier then I planned to) because of my little brother's interest in it.
From what I've played (the first three chapters), it's a pretty fun game.

I'm playing the online version right now. So far I've unlocked Spyro, Zap, Boomer, and Dark Spyro.

Man, I need to get the game. It looks so much fun, now! Let's just say I've done my research. <3
