I got the game today A day early thanks to Shopto and TNT.And I'm really loving it so far and have gone through 4 levels so far and by the way:
Moneybags isn't actually Moneybags he is called Auric.I went up to him and he said something along the lines of" Come back later and I may have some business with you".He looks like Moneybags but I guess he was inspired by Moneybags in design and thats why he looks like him

Fun fact gaiz!

Auric is an ion of Gold (Au3+)


Which can relate to money considering that it was previously mentioned when the game was first announced one of the main collectibles would be gold... Unless that was just a reference to loot.

No I havn't for one I wouldn't get a very clear picture with my camera.You'll just have to wait until someone does a walkthrough or screenshots of

Ohh more information from Skylanders universe on their Q&A section regarding

Q: What does Auric the Banker do exactly? He keeps telling me to come back to see him but he never does anything!

A: Go back to see him after you completed the game and he will give you a big amount of treasure.

I got it yesterday (hooray for being in NZ!) and I've gone through about 9 levels (it's so addictive!).

You can't jump (though Sonic boom and I'm assuming Spyro can fly, but only like 1 metre above the ground, it's still fun).

And the sheep are supposedly evil. And there's lots of moles.

^Which shop did you get it from? I went round to about 5 shops today, and only EB Games had it, even though so was the Warehouse, Harvey Norman, NoelLeeming, and DickSmith. Even so, in EB Games it still said pre-order now, it releases on the 13th. Which was yesterday. What's happening?

Get it from JB-Hi-Fi. It's cheaper to get it there than from another store ($118 at JB, $130 at EB Games).

Oh. Not worth traveling that far then. You'll end up paying more money for petrol than the $12 difference between stores! The Warehouse have it on sale at the moment for $118.

You might want to call the store and ask if they have any copies in stock. If they're not on the shelf, chances are they haven't got around to putting it out yet. You can always ask an employee to grab you a copy from the storage room.

Also, a lot of EB stores have yet to remove their pre-order signs... They're trying to trick us!

I was in the car more then an hour and a half just to get Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.
I plan to do it again this weekend to get NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams.

i couldnt find whirldwind even though the guy who worked at gamestop bought it..

what suprised me is that the figures are kinda bendable. tey arent 100% hard. also, the paint is kinda bad some places. especially on the tech platforms where the tech skylanders are standing on.

I got the game yesterday, and it's awesome <3
But it does lag on my computer a lot sometimes, and there was a weird noise when I walked for a few levels for some reason...but it's stopped now.

the game is childish but fun. the bad thing is that i CANT PUT IT IN ENGLISH! god damn it the norwegian is so baaaad DX
you cannot jump.
you have 2 main attacks.
the portal of power is whireless
it has autosave. i think.
hugo and flynn is yoer best fwends.
eon is your master. obey.
you do the same as the online game spyros universe when you colleck scrolls and stuff.
you start off with zero hero courage.(lol)
you can hit the good goys too. they will complain and say ooow!
the skylanders will start to say something if you dont move them for a while(at least spyro do, but he says gibberish)
i think the skylanders say something when they enter the portal. but i cannot hear it.

you dont even have to pit the skylander on the portal. hovering it over its acutally enough

Hugo is a mole and he's a professor.


Also, to people who speculated that the characters talk properly as they level up, well you're right. When I first used Gill Grunt, he just talked gibberish. But when he grew to level 4, that's when he started to talk properly. However when I first used Spyro, he was already able to speak.

Just tried Darklight Crypt. Epic! And Ghost Roaster is officially one of my main Skylanders.
Curious, does anyone have 'mains'?

I usually use Dark Spyro, Ghost Roaster, Whirlwind, Boomer, Ignitor and Legendary Bash, in that order.

Bit of a spoiler into game mechanics in here but my thoughts on the skylander I now use the most
Sonic boom is a bit meh at the start but I LOVE her now. I picked the "improved baby" upgrade path to summon 4 fully grown babies at once and they they can rip through enemy's, not tried her sonic wave upgrade path but EVERYONE will choose mega babies

The final upgrade can only be purchased once you collected the appropriate soul gem.

Trigger Happy already comes with the game. And Bash honestly appears too slow. The only reason I'd get him is if I hated all of the other rock Skylanders.

First of all I assume you mean the Wii,Xbox,PS3 games as the 3DS ones are auto. I also assume you have unlocked the magic fairy girl(after mission 3 I think) and have accessed the basic upgrade and are now on the "choose your path" upgrades? If you are not on the steps above I hope that helps, if not say which character, what upgrade and stuff

Hmm...

I'm at the Lebiathan Island things, and I collected the first statue, but when I get to a certain point, Gurglefin says "You missed a statue" and it zooms back to where I already collected it. Help?
