what if spyro had looked like his skylanders self in the original games, and he had looked like classic spyro in the new game? would people complain as much as they are now?

Yes they would. smilie Heck, if he looked that good back in the day, I daresay everyone would have been thunderstruck with how amazing those graphics were. smilie And then everyone would whine that Insomniac murdered Spyro with their hideous design, giving him a huge overbite and disgustingly skinny legs. smilie

True and that would cause people to think Skylanders is even more childish.
