Its been a long time...
Anywya, we have all seen images and videos regaurding the new skylanders game. Theres a chance it can be released for PC (the first spyro game on pc smilie)
Judgeing by the little info we have so far maybe its possible to estimate the system requirements for the PC variant of the game? and remember, tell us information revolving around your decision.

My opinion:
For obvious reasons all info available before official released is most likley on maxed out settings...

video card...
As a game that origonated from ones being directed towards younger audiences i doubt textures is a large concern, i was thinking more of bright colors and dynamic lights...
I doubt younger audiences have good PC gameing hardware.
An enlarged image could give you a good idea of the texture especially on the floor or grassy areas.

therfore i doubt video card would be a major concern...

processor and ram...
The idea of plugging toys in and out may seem complex.... or it can have the exact same layout as a standard average USB.
current videos and images available dont show too much of massive battles .
Going back to something covered earlier about how younger crowds dont usually have such strong computers...

so basically outta a random guess heres what i "think"...

windows xp+
single core AMD athlon 1.4 GHZ
1 gig ram
geforce 2 series
thats what i think minimum specifications are.. BUT... i have been wrong many many times...

Spyroxxx, since it's been a long while since you've been on the forums, allow me to remind you that if you're going to add new content to the comment, use the EDIT button, and avoid posting two times in a row to add new words. It's against the rules.

im suprised you still remember me, the posts were only minutes apart and the two seperate posts offer a solid indication in which other people will understand the idea and can form a reply of their own without haveing to read any unessasary info. but i suppose that is debateable, thanks ill change my layout a bit next time...
EDIT: im going to bed so dont expect a reply for a while thanks

I don't get the fuss with double posting, it's hrmless isn't it?
Anyway, it's no prob for me; my comp is lower end these days, but if it can run Alice to alright, it can handle Skylanders. I just hope it''s not widescreen only, my monitor is square.

The problem with double posting is that it clutters up the thread and will lead to a thread having to be closed sooner than it ordinarily would be without it. I've seen things reach their posting limits because of double post spamming before. On the cosmetic side, it's kind of an eye sore for a lot of people. Thus, it's considered discourteous to the users and forum admins alike to do it, hence the discouragement.

Speaking of clutter, notice how 4 and 1/3 out of 7 posts are about double posting.

It will be released for PC.

I honestly don't see much being needed performance wise, seeing how the game isn't trying to be like the FPS juggernauts that need extremely realistic graphics that require a graphics card that hasn't been made yet.

You're asking for people to stay on topic in a Spyro forum.

Good luck with that. smilie

It used to be commonplace. Those were the days... smilie

As for Skylanders: yeah, pretty much. It sounds like the PC play is going to be on-line, so it probably won't take much space to instal the PoP and what little else is needed.

I would get it for PC if it wasn't for the fact that my motherboard decided to die..........again.

And right when I spent $40+ on Steam's sales....

The good thing about Steam is that you'll have all of your games still when you get a new machine. smilie

If it was digital download, you'd still need the portal and figures to play.
