As the title asks. Do you think the new Spyro will talk in the game, or will he be like the Spyro from SL?

I hope he talks.

I don't think he will talk, and suprisingly enough, I hope he doesn't. His monsterous appearence and growls make me think they will get some annoying, husky, and cocky voice for him. I'd rather he just make sounds. It would make for much better humour, like how Classic Sonic is supposedly mute in Sonic Generations.

Spyro will be voiced by someone. And perhaps they'll have him say a few lines or something.

I'm not sure either either with little footage we have.
All he seems to do is make grr and grahh animal/monster noises which sounds animalistic unlike that of than the previous two Spyros.Even if he has a voice actor this is all he could/might possibly do.
If he does talk I wonder what he'll sound like smilie.
I just had an image in my head that he could sound wacky or insane annoying sounding.

I think based on information about the attempt to create a diverse story, Spyro will probably talk. Activision will probably go over-the-top with the voice actor. <.<;

I think that he sounds cute!

He's already been confirmed to have an opening voiced cutscene. He'll most likely be voiced by Tom Bromhead.

No, Tom Bromhead only had the test title name of Skylanders on his profile before he removed it.

From what I've seen, he'll probabley just growl, purr or roar. I personally hope he does.

I think it'll be like Stitch; growls that can resemble words, ugly and yet adorable.

It's been said that the game is supposed to have really good voice talents. They wouldn't spend all that time and money finding good VAs just to have them make grunting and growling sounds.

I think he will talk. If a game like this is gonna have any chance at good, they would do themselves a favor and give Spyro a voice. Any video game that deserves recognition of it's characters deserves voicing of them, unless they are a mute character. For some reason, Naughty Dog decided that it wasn't worth giving Jak a voice in Jak and Daxter, and it was a good game. But if they wanted to continue his series, a voice for him was probably the best move they could have done. J&K was good, but J2 and 3 began thriving more on his character and his ability to 'freak out' sorta say.

Spyro definately needs a voice-over for this game. I can imagine it being all squaky like the first Spyro game, not like Tom Kenny or anything like that.

Yes, because the character having a voice helps decide if the game is good or not. smilie

Sonic and Mario were mute for the first few years, and Mario is often still mute with few exceptions. Does that lower the quality of the games where they were mute?

In my opinion, all characters need a voice if there is going to be a complex storyline, if Skylanders has a complex storyline which I doubt then Spyro may need or not need a voice, to be honest, Spyro didn't exactly talk that much in Spyro the Dragon, the other two games maybe a little more because of there being more cutscenes.

LoS definately needed a voice-over since it was mainly story most of the time, it seemed like they were trying to get you involved in the story more than anything else.

It doesn't determine whether it makes a game good or bad but must you say this with every but of detail of a game? It all adds up to being a great game afterall dosen't it?

Are we forgetting Okami? LoZ? You don't need a main character that speaks to carry out a plotline in a video game- that's the job of the actions of the character and the supporting characters- of which there are lots in this game.

I'm making perfect sense. Or maybe I'm just going on circles like you claim I always do.

I don't want you to answer the question of "WTF". I want you to respond to the statement made above it.

How am I wrong? You claim there that you shouldn't have to tell me that I'm wrong, which tells me that you're so confident that you're right in this situation. If that's the case, then why don't you want to back up your claims?

So, basically, by refusing to say that you're wrong, my silence is evidence that I believe you are wrong. By this standard it seems the only way I can not disagree is by saying:

Combine the two bolded pieces. Basically, you're telling me that because I disagree with you, I am wrong. If you are so sure of that, you should be able to back up your claims, and explain why. Why are you avoiding it so much?

That's not really a proper response.
