Same here

But on the subject of 'after this', I'd like Spyro to go this new way, with a new world, or return to the original. I feel as though LoS has run it's course now, and we should make way for a new generation.

Not really. It was only planned as a trilogy from the beginning. It wouldn't attract a new generation as per such, when Spyro is aimed at kids, and LoS is aimed at teens.

TLoS's story was a trilogy, yes, but it was meant to be Spyro's new Universe, and they hadonly 'scratched the surface'. There were more possibilities. I'd like Spyro to return to his rightful world after being stuck in our world as a toy, and that world could possibly be Original Spyro's world or TLoS's world, but both of those options are most likely not the choice Activision chose. Actually, i'm pretty sure they aren't. This is a reboot. New characters, new Universe. (Again..)

People call this a re-boot, but the only significantly different thing about Spyro himself is his design- remember, this isn't his world, it's a completely new one. His own game may be his return to his own world, and have him re-unite with Sparx, Cynder, Hunter and other re-occuring characters- it could be somewhat similar to LoS or the classics, depending on the outcome of this game.
