Swimming in Skylanders? [CLOSED]

With the water levels in Skylanders, do you we can swim in the water? I know some of the characters won't be able to, but I know Spyro and few of the other characters can swim it too.

No no, I mean it could be possibly that they'll let a swimming feature in the game with the water levels...

I can imagine Gill Grunt swimming and I would like to see Spyro swimming again he hasn't swam since the original universe(AHT?)
Only a few characters have been revealed so far.But I hope there is a swimming feature.

I don't think there will be swimming, at least from those two screens.

Notice how the islands are organized like a linear pathway, with bridges connecting each consecutive island, especially in the second screen...

If there will be swimming, it will probably be a special level or something.

That's probably just to allow the characters to drown, since drowning in shallow water is stupid....*looks at Sonic 06*

Hmm looks like there is a fish in the water in that last screenshot wonder if it's friendly?(Unless its a playable character doubt it though)
Or if its like those dudes in spooky Swamp and AHT?(Looks like it has sharp piranha(sp) like teeth where if you fall in you lose health to the critters)

You don't swim in Sonic, you just have funny physics while underwater. It's more like a low gravity area.

However, instead of flying when underwater, Tails swims. And in Sonic Colours, you can jump infinitely underwater.

And, wow, looking at the character models in-game they're actually very nicely done, considering 32 characters alone need to be rendered... Not including enemies or other characters. Gill Grunt looks very nicely done in that screenshot.

Brawl was also probabley Nintendo's top game that year, so they'd spent many years developing it- and Nintendo spend alot more time and effort on their most important games. Plus, SKL is third party and aimed at kids- kiddy, third party stuff will never recieve the budget of a top-priority Ninty game, or at least spend the budget on graphics. It usually goes on voice actors, designers and writers.

One thing I don't get....

Skylanders was apparantly in development for two years and a half, and people say this is an unheard of amount of time for a kid's game...

Spyro: A Hero's Tail took two years....
Crash Twinsanity took three...
Sonic Unleashed(Next-Gen) took 3-4 years...

No, I mean, people say Skylanders has an unheard of amount of development time for a kids game, yet I just listed ones that took longer(I listed AHT as it is a Spyro game that comes close).

Time doesn't always mean quality- HTTYD and Bolt were made in approximately a year, yet they still regained positive reviews. Longer time periods could also mean the developers can't think of any ideas for it, or plain laziness. Though it does show, sometimes- Bambi's realism for an early animated film is astounding and ground-breaking, for example.

This. I've played plenty of games that were in development for a short period of time, yet they've been a huge amount of fun.

NO! You are missing my point!

I was saying Activision and the previewers are making a false claim....I wasn't saying anything about the game's quality!

Heck, Spyro 3 took ten months to make....

And I love DotD, and all the Legend games, and they took a year...
