Just in case you've missed it.

We don't know wether the DS version was in production before, wether it is even being made, or wether it will just have bonus 3D capabilities on the DS' successor. It was listed by the old name, Spyro's Kingdom, after all- since a 3DS version is in production(see below), it may have simply changed to the newer console during developement, and the DS version may have been dropped. No regular DS version under the new name has been mentioned yet.

There, there... We all miss it.
It's sad. Though I you will go after one, you should get a Wii. Coming from somebody who has played all 4 consoles(the PS2 still lives within me!), I think the Wii has the best and largest variety of games. It also has the most exclusives, and is cheapest. But the choice is really yours, the 360 has a handful of excellent exclusives which should be cheap to get, and the PS3... Well, the only good thing I can think about it game-wise is LBP, and it really wouldn't be worth it to pay $600 for a single freakin' game. And guess what, the model actually compatible with PS2 games has MUCH less memory. I haven't played LBP though so don't take my word for that but just see which ones you like best.

ffft, poor ps2! Im probably not going to get a ps3 for a while, or not at all. I've got all the old platforms xD But at least i got a wii...

PS3 has tons of great exclusives, and I have played whole games in LBP2 that seem more fun than Skylanders.

Main Exclusives(besides the two LBPs):
MGS4
Uncharted series
Ratchet and Clank Future series
ModNation Racers

It also has a ton of great download only games.

The PS3 is kind of bad for non-exclusives. But there are times where PS3 gets the better version of a game.
Examples: Final Fantasy XIII, Tekken 6, Sonic 4

Personally, I like the Wii and PS3 the best. Xbox 360 misses out because of a few things. PS2 is awesome too, as good as the Wii and PS3 for games.

I think it's a good game. If you remember, me, you and CAV talked about it a month ago. But I hate the loadings. They remember me a Spyro game... smilie

They're really trying to reach every horizon with this game. Good for them. I think it's neat that the figures will work for any platform, so if my cousin gets it for PS3 and I get it for Wii it won't make a difference.

Balls, I was hopin' it would be on the older DS, too. I've just got a DSlite.

But if it's on the 3DS, a normal DS version doesn't seem very likely.

Well, KZomb, at least you know it is coming for DS now. I will now be playing 3 different versions... smilie

^This. I've owned all three consoles, and I have to say PS3 and Wii< Xbox360. The PS3 is better in exclusives (Heavy Rain, for the win!) plus it's blu-ray compatible! And, though this is more of a personal annoyance, I find the Xbox controller can be, well, awkward- it's too big for my hands!...But I think we can all agree that PS Move and Kinect are Wii rip-offs, yep, yep, yep.

The 360 controller is better than the PS3's for shooters, but is terrible for fighting games, mainly because of the god-awful D-pad. Even when I'm playing ANB or DotD, my element changes like crazy sometimes.
