Yes I know. But so far I don't see any other reason he doesn't like the game.

And I was explaining as to why the sales wouldn't be hurt for taking out Spyro.

It's going to sell very well if you ask me, since critics are giving it praise so far, and kids are interested. As of now, the Spyro fanbase (mainly Classic fans) are just raging over it. It's a problem, but it probably won't damage sales.

I haven't seen any proof that kid's love it.
And knowing kids today, they don't like this kind of thing.

But that's not on a very large scale.

Yes, SOME kids will be interested, but more kids will be buying Pokemon games, Mario games or violent shooters.

If a lot of kids like it, then great (or "boo", as it could make Activision milk it).

You see articles complaining about kids and violent video games for a reason, you know. Most kids think stuff like Spyro is for babies. Sad, but it's just how peer pressure works, and it has a lot of consequences, such as decreasing potential sales for a game like this.

That's why I think it will do moderately well. Enough to keep the franchise going. It will probably be better for us if it does moderately well anyway.

The age group that the game is targetted for probably play violent video games, but will still find this to be a neat idea. OR, the parents don't let them play those games, so they have no knowledge of violent video games, and they will think this is cool.

Basically the main age group is between 5-12. Only around 11 do kids get really hooked on violent video games to the point that they don't play anything else. That's why I believe the sales will be just fine.

I guess I kinda agree with the first paragraph.

But not the second. Every kid I know has got hooked on violent games as young as 6, highest being 8.

A lot of kids I know do play these violent video games, but they don't think of games like Mario to be uncool. They tend to play those games even more than the hardcore FPS.

The reason I noted Mario rather than Spyro is because like I said before, most kids that the game is intended for don't know the character.

And Sonic games have had guns. smilie Too bad the game was crappy.

To me, I've seen kids play Mario, Sonic, LBP, Kirby, Donkey Kong, and Rabbids just fine. So I'm pretty sure that Spyro would survive, especially if the kids know the character from before, and show interest.

The person who started this topic was saying what they thought of it so far.

Purple, this guy had a fair few good reasons to not like the looks of this game.

It's called a PREVIEW, or an IMPRESSION.
When the game comes out, we will give our REVIEWS, and our VERDICTS.

You still cannot judge an entire game just by a preview. Nobodies tried the gameplay out yet, the Toy feature, and the trailer is only a few minutes long. Hardly a Preview. Although we can respect others opinions, the Haters also have to respect the opinions of the Fans.

Quote: Aura24
At least we know the devs are professional enough to not listen to those so-called "reviews" from overreacting fans.

More like complaints from little kids who can't tll left and right.

Quote: AvatariDragon
I'm not too impressed with it; mainly because of the toy thing, but I haven't played it yet, so I don't know until I try smilie

Exactly.
What confuses m is how generations of fans complain for more Spyro Merchendise, but when more Merchendise, the toys, come out, people complain about it making the game silly.

I know, right?

If you read my entire post, you would've noticed that I said they don't know about Spyro. His glory days were before they were even born. Since then, he doesn't get much talk. No talk from critics, not many commercials. The kids don't know about Spyro. So how can they have interest in something they don't know even exists?

Also you have to considerf tLoS. Because it was much more Mature, less kids played it, due to the Mature Atmosphere, meaning that its more likely for a vasta moun tof kids to be introduced to Spyro.

I can remember two:

1) In Sonic 06, in Sonic's story, Elise jumps of off that flying machine Eggman uses in it(it's like a bigger version of the Egg Mobile), and before doing so, says "I would rather die than be your prisoner again!". However, Sonic catches her.

2) In Sonic and the Black Knight, Sir Gawain/Knuckles attempts to cut his own throat when he is defeated by Sonic, and before trying to, he says something like:

"I've lost to a mere apprentice?
I have been disgraced!
Only death can remove this stain upon my honour..."

However, Sonic snatches his swords from him before he does it.

Well, he half did in that one cutscene in Shadow The Hedgehog, where he basically told The Commander he would "gladly accept his fate", provided the story The Commander told him about the events on Space Colony ARK were true. While it's not suicide, Shadow was going to let somebody kill him without opposing them, which is pretty close, I guess. smilie

I never thought he was emo though....they probably think it just 'cause he's black. >:B

But for all the people like me, we can enjoy the game and at least give it a chance. And if it is the worst game in history we can just play the old games and relive the memories we all had. The end.
