So... I was looking through my iTunes playlist, when I noticed an ANB song labeled Convexity. I pressed it and found this heavily orchestrated, very action-y song.

But IIRC, there was no music in Convexity aside from once you were fighting Cynder.

Any ideas? >.>

I believe that's the battle music used to fight Cynder when you're in Convexity. I'd love to get the background, er...noise from Convexity. I loved the sounds the invertebrates were making and the whispers.

No... it's MUCH different.

For one, there's no choir, which there CLEARLY is in the Cynder battle... which is labeled "Cynder Boss Convexity" in the Soundtrack.

Hmmm... The versions of the Convexity music I have don't have that title. Is there a link to it anywhere on-line?

on my game of ANB theres no Convexity music

No, no, it's my fault. iTunes locks their mp3 files. I should record it and transfer it to a .wav and then try it... that might actually work... wait... oh forget it. *faints*

Anyways, I don't think there is any music in the Convexity, but if I COULD, I'd go check, but I can't, since mah PS3 doesn't wanna play the LoS games! ><

XBox is a never-purchase for me. Too expensive and there are no games I actually want to play on it.

I purchased the soundtrack last year so I too seemed to be taken aback by this "new addition" that didn't get used in the game. But I loved it and played it a lot anyways.

Since getting the soundtrack I ended up noting the song itself in four other places throughout the previous two titles:

- ANB console - if you listen carefully to the music in the background when Cynder transforms into a hatchling, you hear a more somber variation on the main melody being played alongside the action.
- ANB DS - The track itself IS used for the Convexity stage, or at least the action part before the boss fight. Though, it was mainly just a part of the beginning cut up and looped over due to cartridge limitations.
- ANB GBA - This music was transferred into a more simplistic format for use in all of this incarnation's boss battles.
- TEN console - Used when launching the Dark Fury on Gaul.

I swear the track would have been intended to be used for the game itself but I would have thought the programmers thought that it wouldn't fit in the finished Convexity stage and decided to leave it out. That's probably my theory on this.

Often times there is a lot of extra music made for a game that doesn't get put in. I guess this was one of those cases.

I swear that's when Spyro was about to finish Gaul and not the Convexity. strange...

Oh, no it isn't. I've got the Gaul battle music (and if there's anyone who can remember an instrumental score, it's me, especially when it relates to my favorite character in all of TEN ) and that's not it. The Gaul music has a lot more to it, is longer, and is a lot subtler.

Not the Gaul battle music, I mean when you finish him off with the fury attack it changes to a snippet of that track.

Oooooh! I've got to listen to that part more carefully.
