Permanent glitch!? [CLOSED]

Okay, I tried to play Enter the Dragonfly for PS2 a couple weeks ago, I hate the constant glitches but loved the plot so I wanted to try and suffer through. But here's what happened:

I went headbashed into some water to try and get the "Swimming in air" glitch to happen, I could pass through a gate without having to wait and get electric breath and open it.
But instead, the screen went black and a couple minutes later Spyro appeared again underwater and there were a bunch of black tubes! I gave the controller to my brother aand told him to get me out of there, but he swam down a tube and appeared in a pitch black room. Now every time I restart ETD, the black room appears.
Is there a way to get out of the black room? I think I ruined my copy!

I can't even get to the menu. Every time I restart, I end up in complete blackness, with Spyro just standing there running in circles. And Sparx is nowhere to be seen.

Let me think...have you tried cleaning the disc? Re-set the PS2? Don't put a memory card in, so the game is fully refreshed when you try again.

I just now tried cleaning the disc and taking out the memory card, they appeared in a white room instead of a black one! Weirrrddd.

Now that is really weird, have a look at your disc again, are there any scratch marks?

Nope, I got a brand new copy so there aren't any scratches/gouges.
Although, last month when I wasn't home my cat spilled pop on the disc (I'd left it out because I had to hurry and get to the store, didn't have time to put it away). Could the pop have done something?

My friend flushes it in a toilet, it SHOULDN'T go down, she says it clans it, I've seen her do it, but I dont do it. And, yes, it glitchy, but, that has never happened to me.

Your cat spilled soda on it? That could afect it, the soda could stain it, (thus the black room (possibly)) or soaked into it, and uined it. You could also get another copy from a game store, or ebay, or amazon.

What should I do, throw away my current glitched copy or sell it? Maybe someone would like the glitched copy just for collection? smilie

I think you should throw it away, I don't think you would get much money for it and even if someone did buy it, they wouldn't be too pleased with it and it's not very nice for them.

Yeah, black tubes and a black room? I wonder what the other tubes would be, I say just black. There might have been one that took you to a different level.

I have no idea if you're still reading this, but if you are, deleting your save file from the memory card and starting a new one might fix it.
