My first attempt at a Jak and Dax fanfic...and my first attempt at writing these guys in charecter so please don't be to harsh. But I DO appreciate constructive crit.Sorry for the shortness.

Chapter 1

The hidden rooms and corridors of the monk temple, to say the least, were creepy as hell. Every one of Jak's footsteps echoed through the empty hallways accompinied by the chattering of god knows what. A spider? Rats? Mabye even a leftover meatel head thar somhow hadn't died yet..
The near silence was broken,

"Yick, gross place if you ask me.There must be nothing here besides dirt and cobwebs!And insects..I hate bugs..How do they live here? " Daxter remarked as he shook a spider web off of his hand.Jak would've said somting but the elf's attention was caught by a soft glow emmiting from the edges of a door to one of the rooms.

'DO NOT ENTER' the door read in precursor letters.It really was a huge door, and it had a rusted lock just above the doorknob,

"Uh,Jak. It says don't go in. There's probobly somthin' dangerous in there...." the ottsel, being his usual cowardly self, warned. Jak shrugged,

"When have warnings stopped us before?" he pushed open the door to see a multi colored stream shooting from an eco vent. It consisted of blues,reds,yellows, and greens..with a tinge of purple that seemed to contaminate the stream. The vent itself had the word 'Danger' carved into it.

"Ohhh...Whatsit do?" Daxter asked, only realiseing that he would get no awnser after the fact. His friend gave him a look that said How should I know?! Might as well find out though..

Touch it mabye? See what it is? Jak went over the choices in his head, but the most sensible ones kind of slipped past him. He made his dicision,
I'll check it out,how could any of these eco's..even the dark...hurt me? He thought.Daxter knew what he was going to do and jumped off his shoulder, running to a far corner of the room.

He stepped towords it, somthing in the back of his mind told him not to go in but he rammed right through it, getting the full force of all of the eco's power at once....That in itself was overwhelming.

Daxter began to panic as his friend dissapered into the eco. He ran up as close to the stream as he could get,

"Jak?!" he yelled, no awnser.

Meanwhile ,Jak couldn't move. All he could do was yell when ripping sensations started to wrack his body. There was no blood, but it felt like he was being ripped apart from the inside...or like somthing attached to him was being pulled out..

Seem had just entered the lower levels of her temple when she heard Daxters yell. Annoyence was the first thing she felt,before she heard another voice screaming. What's going on?! she thought, speeding up to a run.
When she finnaly found the room the noise had faded,her heart skipped a beat, if who ever was in that room stopped making noise..

"No.." she shoved the door inward to find Jak unconcious on the floor, Daxter pulling on his arm.

"Get up! Come on!" the ottsel growled, running up to his friends face and shaking his head. He didn't move. Daxter lifted his head and noticed Seem in the doorway.

"What the hell did your precursor crap do to him?!" he aked angirly as he jabbed his finger into the monk's leg. She just moved past him and wen't down to her knees at Jak's side, proceeding to check his heartbeat,

"He is alive, but weak. We have to get him out of here." her tone was flat, but she was relived that he hadn't been killed. She had seen what that vent could do to people, and it wasn't exactly pretty.

"Well?!Help me get him up!" Daxter grunted as he lifted his friends head from the floor.

Sorry to anyone who actually enjoyed this, but im discontinuing it. Im thinking and realiseing that Jak isn't a damn schizophrenic His dark side is firmly stuck in there, like freaking glued and ductaped.Same goes for his light side.
They're a PART of him not INSIDE him and could never become their own beings, EVER. Ever freaking ever. Soooooo, yeah. *Loves Nashi for pointing this the crap out without being an ass about it.

I won't close this because I have other ideas that make freakin' sense 'kay?
