Why don't you just release it early

Because I'm doing like a Bungie ... Bungie finished Halo Reach last month and it's not coming out till September!!!!!!!111!!!!eleven *RAGE!!!*

No, but seriously... I'm doing it for the following reasons:

1. 1. Isn't the 10th of the 10th 2010 an epic release date?
   
2. 2. I want to get some of the cutscenes done quickly, so I can get a walkthrough released ASAP...
   
3. 3. I want to perfect it, find any exploits in the game and make it as good as it can possibly be...
   

Those are my reasons and I'm sticking with them!

So I heard you like updatez? TOUGH!

Anyway, daily update for the day of the 3rd of August... 5 days until the demo is out, and I've finished the WIVERN campaign. All that's left... Is Convexity's (in other words, TEH BEST CAMPAIGN EVAR!!!) Anyway, the trailer still hasn't made any progress what so ever since I last updated you on it, and like I said before it should be released early September/ late August... So, that should be something to look forwards to. I'm also gonna be releasing that Convexity campaign preview vid a week after the demo has been released. So, enjoy that! Battlefield hasn't made much progress, which is a problem... Because I have to redesign each map and configure it so there's different enemies in different rounds ETC... But, it'll be done before the release date (I PROMISE D:!!) Anyway, that's all I have to say for now. I just can't believe it's almost done! WOOT!... Anyway, yeah... Hope you all enjoy it when it comes out ... But here, is teh best vid evar ! No... Wait, that's not my ending line ...

I tried making an RTS before, and I couldn't get past basic unit movement, it kept failing

I would also like to say, that I'm not going to be doing daily updates this week... Because I'm trying to fix a few bugs in the game...

Well, seeing as I just watched the end of Reach, and I've fixed the bug and have nothing better to do, I might as well make an update...

TEH GAME IZ DONEZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT! So, the game will be released 10th of October 2010, along with 5 campaigns and battlefield mode... Now, if you'll excuse me... I'm going to wait until September 14th so I can play some Reach and not spoil it for myself anymore !

P.S. Anyone interested in Reach, I'm gonna say one thing (note, not a spoiler about what happens, but a clue)

I've just realised (despite the fact that we've been on this page for ages) the TDoS topic made it to page 9 ! Anyway, on for what I'm here for... I was just thinking "Yeah, adding difficulty's was a good idea... But you can also choose the allies that follow you around during the Spyro campaign... So, that kind of beats the difficulty of it" (Yes, you can only have chosen allies in the Spyro campaign). So, onto the point, I have decided to create... A 5TH DIFFICULTY LEVEL EXCLUSIVE FOR THE SPYRO CAMPAIGN... So, after you've beat it on Normal, Heroic, Legendary and Destiny difficulty you can go through the whole campaign again on Destiny difficulty without any friends! Yay! That was such a good idea!... Also there's prizes for completing the whole of the campaign on said difficulty...

MUST! PREVENT! AUTOMATIC! TOPIC! CLOSURE!

Anyway, here's an update for all of you out there... Ok, well... Overall plans aren't going as well as I thought. I've not been doing anything with it for ages because of Reach and homework and then today, went to go look and what do I find... Well, I made a few... Slight... Errors in my calculations...

HALF OF THE LEVELS ARE GONE!

Ok, I think I know what happened. A few weeks back I was having a clean out of some files in my documents and I discovered that some of the levels had a (1) at the end, to suggest that their copies... So... I deleted them all... Little did I know, that these were the actual copies of the levels, and I'd already emptied by recycle bin (because, memory from the recycle bin stays on the hard drive) so... This means I'm missing a few of the levels... And I only just discovered it, just over a week before it's release! Ok, I'll try to get it remade ASAP, but if I don't manage it and the game is delayed... Then that's why...

I will have to try this game at Christmas when I (hopefully) have Spore and the necessary extensions. It looks great though!

It seams to be one bad thing after the other now! Ok, so after a constant week of working nearly all the time, I've managed to restore the game in all it's glory once again... However! Whilst experiencing server maintenance, the guys at Maxis... Have failed...

For some reason, that is beyond my control, whilst they were running maintenance they have failed to restore the servers... No update has been announced since they said they started running the maintenance, so I'm not sure if the servers will be back up for the 10th. If they are, then I'll upload it on the right day... If it's the same, I'll have to wait along with everyone else...

Ok, Spore servers back up... I'll be uploading the first campaign today, and the next week the second ETC...

Technically, I've had to upload 40 levels today (10 levels, 4 difficulty's) and that took over an hour. 50 levels with 4 difficulty's is actually 200 levels in a single day... That would take a long time...
