I think once you get to 13 you should be able to moderate yourself, locking the internet off to 13-18 is like locking half of their world off. This is the age group where kids start to get older and need to prepare themselves for when they're on their own, looking up what kind of jobs would be best for them, finding good education options and generally getting them information they'd need for the future.

This is also the age group where some people need a place to feel more comfortable in so they find an online community of people they can talk to instead of hoping strangers have similar interests. Some people even start out they're careers by creating art or videos or websites that can push them to get a decent living while also doing something they love. Better to start early.

I agree that some social sites should have age limits on making accounts (even still age isn't the problem; behavior is) but a broad post like yours should have some elaboration because there are so many points against it. (I also genuinely want to hear why you think this).

I highly doubt the 16 and under law will go through, people are freaking out over something that either won't go through or won't have much impact.
