Name: Raclaw
Age: 18 (nearly 19)
Species: Fur Dragon
Good or evil: Good

Appearance: Raclaw has feathered wings and a furred body. A thick adjustable leather collar can be seen around his neck-- with a silver buckle, silver D-ring, and an emerald green gem visibly embedded just to the right of the silver D-ring. To those familiar with the Argent Guardians, the collar may mark him as "trusted" and indicate that he is a friend to the Guardians. Additionally, an leather harness ring and golden "tail band" can also be seen on the tail and the later can change "forms" to suit his needs-- often being used a tail spike while in close combat. Both the collar and the tail band detect as magical to those who are able to tell, except under very specific circumstances.
(Official reference drawn by shorty with additional RP-specific details added as needed.)

Personally: Raclaw is a curious dragon and a tad timid. Still somewhat tame after his time with humans-- he chooses to be a little gentler, but can be serious when he needs to be. Part of him still seeks to discover his past; having received some answers but not enough. He has since been collar claimed by Latnok and has began to incorporate certain aspects of the Guardian's personality into his own. The two are "bonded" and share in each other's thoughts and emotions. This alongside mental links with both Shade (Dragolet) and Verris (Wyvern) can slightly alter and influence his personality over time.

Weapons: Raclaw's natural weapons include the use of his CLAWS and TEETH. In addition-- he may also use the collar's included "TEACH" function (similar to that of a shock collar), but only as a last resort as it pains him greatly. This last "weapon" only functions where outside magic is allowed.

Elements: Raclaw's elements include the use of FIRE and an advanced form of TELEPATHY.

History: Raclaw originally lived with a human family, first as a pet and later as a sort of protector. As a young pup—he was found alone and with no sign of his parents in sight. He soon found himself dropped off at a nearby farm where he was discovered to have an irremovable collar with a tag that simply read "RACLAW." As he developed and grew; he was never mistreated and often played alongside the family dog. It was the family’s hope that he may eventually develop his abilities and they grow concerned when he couldn’t even muster a puff of smoke. In addition, there was the still irremovable collar and so—they took his to a "specialist" in the nearby village.

It was there that Raclaw was recognized and Julian had told them how he had found Raclaw; and had been the very same “bystander” who dropped him off at their nearby farm. The family explained what they had observed as Julian "inspected" the collar-- its seamless appearance, the two irremovable gems to the left and right of the D-ring, and how it had adjusted itself overtime never growing too small or too tight as Raclaw grew. It was revealed that the two gems found on the collar were in fact responsible for blocking Raclaw’s elements and Julian agreed to study the matter further as they continued to give Raclaw a quality life. Before they left, Julian had been also been able to remove the claw-shaped tag (which had made quite a bit of noise) and allowing Raclaw to eventually hunt on his own without fear of scaring away the prey.

As time passed and the "research" continued—Raclaw became more aware of his own restrictions and they soon visited Julian’s lab once again to find out what progress had been made on the collar. It was still that Julian explained how he had come across an ancient Drow manual in his travels and how an "intelligent presence within the collar" allowed it to accept commands and enable or disable certain functions. He explained how anyone with physical contact to the collar would "just know" the commands and be able to act upon them. In addition, this person could also bond with the collar and act up certain commands ether by touch, verbal component, or mental thought—effectually owning Raclaw. Julian agreed to study the commands further and would later meet the family at their farm.

After allowing some time to pass, the day eventually came and they were able to make quick work in "disabling" the collar. Upon triggering the voices inside and acting upon certain commands—the two colored gems just seemed to fall out leaving a seamless leather surface behind and a previously unseen buckle had appeared. Raclaw stopped the family from removing the collar, however, and telepathically spoke to them for the very first time. He had thanked them, but expressed how he had wanted to keep the collar—both a sign of his yet unknown past and also to remember the family by. Julian explained how there was away and how Raclaw could potentially influence his own collar. The family, although confused at first, reluctantly agreed to let Raclaw try.

Upon speaking a carefully worked string of Drow commands—there was nothing at first, followed by feelings of confusion, and then one singular voice. “Your commands are accepted, collared one. As long as I am with you and remain unclaimed by another—only you may command my actions for as long as you are able. Any command asked of me will be followed including any that may negatively impact yourself. And if you wish to truly belong to another… you may do so. But be warned that doing do forfeits some of your own control until the day they release you.,” the collar spoke seeming to reluctantly accept that the rules had changed. A new command also came to mind... one that he dare not speak unless he truly meant it.

From that day one-- Raclaw was truly free for the first time and able to access his abilities for the first time in years. Now able to fend for himself and wanting more out of life, he would soon leave the farm and the humans to whom he had come to know and love. They weren't just owners or former owners to him-- they were something more. They were family and people that he deeply cared for. At first... he kept close by but soon went further and further out on his own. His visits became less often and his family wished him well on whatever future journeys may lie ahead for him. Eventually-- the humans became worried about the massive smoke coming from a nearby mountain and he volunteered to check it out on their behalf.

It was doing this journey where he had met Latnok and Sere—two "Guardians" who were part of a human organization responsible for his collaring and partly responsible for losing him. It was revealed that his collar was a modified Restraining Collar designed to help control the abilities of young dragon hatchlings who were given up by their parents—and placed with humans in hopes of bettering human/dragon relations. It was also revealed how these young dragons were meant to be guided by a Guardian, that Raclaw’s Guardian had somehow perished, and that Julian was in fact a Guardian. It was inferred that Julian, an Adjudicator in the ranks and head of magical research, had in fact placed the intelligent presence in his collar—presumably to make some sort of magical artifact. Despite this, a bond between him and Latnok (a Guardian) formed-- and only grew with time.

It was only during the aftermath of this journey that the intelligent presence had fully awoken-- revealing itself as "Damon" and explaining some of its backstory. Damon had once been an actual person who specialized in embedding magical properties into otherwise originary items; and having had the unfortunate luck of soul trapping himself into an amulet. Having been chosen to partake in an experiment, Damon had been unknowingly placed into Raclaw's collar where he would remain mostly dormant until the Guardians eventually officially "unlocked" the collar and inadvertently unleashed Damon's full capabilities. While Damon merely once moderated Raclaw's abilities via the collar-- he now shared a mental presence with Raclaw including access to all of Raclaw's thoughts, memories, and senses. In stark contrast to Damon's level of access, however, Raclaw himself is unable to access the formally alive entity's memories nor can he completely override Damon. The two currently have a mutual relationship, with Damon both advising Raclaw and maintaining various background tasks for his hosts-- such as the mental links he shared with certain other individuals.

And it was further along this journey that Raclaw would make the choice-- and allow Latnok the Guardian to claim him via his collar. With the new collar claim in place, Latnok would would effectively act as his 'owner' and have command priority over that of Damon -- although the two best friends would not immediately see each other as owner/pet. Latnok would continue to treat him just as he had before and only sparsely acting on the reinforced commands. The two have now also started to work on combined magic, starting with that of the "simple" fireball.

Name: Chester
Age: 3 (in human years)
Species: Beagle
Good or evil: Good

Appearance: Chester is 1½ feet of your typical beagle features, but now in a sturdy leather collar. (Merged images (c) unknown sources)

Personality: Chester is easily excitable and loves shiny things.
Weapons: Chester's only "weapons" include the use of his natural CLAWS and TEETH.
Elements: Chester is a dog and has no elements, unless you include the cuteness factor.

History: Chester was presumily born in and found in a shelter. While visiting Redwater-- Raclaw and Latnok found found him and saved him from his then current owners, who had planned to cook and eat him. Upon letting him stay the night with them in the Easy Eyrie Inn, they and Godfather Sere agreed to officially adopt him and take him with them. Due to a upbringing with a German Shepard, Raclaw is physically able to "speak" with him via dogspeak and the two have a formed a close bond. Chester almost always follows Raclaw and would do anything for his furry friend-- and the friends of his furry friend. He had more recently received a collar of his own choosing courtesy of Latnok-- its green metal accents having reminded him of Raclaw's eyes. And he would happily accompany his two larger companions anywhere, only now as a properly collared and visibly owned Beagle.

---

Name: Risar
Age: 39 (in human years)
Species: Minotaur
Good or evil: Good

Appearance: At a little over 7 feet tall, Risar displays your typical Minotaur features-- including a golden nose ring with 1½ links of chain attached to it. Beyond that-- he wears leather armor similar to, but not exactly like that of gladiator armor. He also wears a belt, which holds several pouches useful for carrying gold and other useful items.

Personally: Risar has a blunt personality at times, partly because of his inability to fully speak the common tongue. However, he has a fighting spirit and is not at all unintelligent. Due to his history, he has rather advanced tastebuds for someone of his race and former status-- and can accurately describe the flavor of wines and other fine drinks.

Weapons: Two greataxes adorn his back, each weighed in at 8 pounds and sized appropriately for someone of his strength.
Elements: n/a

History: At a young age and after a great house fire-- Risar was separated from his two other brothers (triplets) and sold off to a wealthy buyer. Upon being sold, he was implanted with the prominent golden nose ring that would only become harder to remove (if not impossible) as he developed. After many years of being used as a taste tester, bodyguard, and source of entertainment (read fighter)-- he eventually escaped with help of a merchant ship and eventually found himself being recruited in Redwater. He knows very little of his brothers; only that they were each implanted with a nose ring of different material. One was said to be implanted with a copper nose ring, while the other received a silver nose ring-- each material representing the "quality" and "usefulness" of the livestock. Risar also carries the lingering "mark" of a once great house and serves as a living reminder of what once was.

Name: Kasidra

Age: 28

Species: Tiefling

Good or evil: Neutral

Appearance: Kasidra is about 5'7 in height, with a slender, slightly athletic build. She's skinny, with not a lot of muscle on her, but she doesn't look scrawny. She has short, black hair in a pixie cut. Her skin is a dull, brick red color. She has solid, golden eyes, that almost appear to glow. She has small, black, ram-like horns that start at her forehead and curve around her slightly pointed ears. She has a tail with a barbed end, like a scorpion's, which has slow-acting deadly poison in it. Kasidra wears a full black leather outfit for protection, which covers her body, with gloves as well. She wears a long, black cloak that can hide her body when wrapped around her. The hood of the cloak hangs down low, covering her face and hiding it in shadow. The cloak has an obsidian jeweled clasp or button that holds the cloak together at her shoulders.

Personally: Kasidra is an intellectual who often appears apathetic to the concerns of those around her. She is cold and calculating, and tends to behave in a more practical manner. She rarely has much of a reaction to events unfolding around her, aside from maybe a sarcastic comment or two. She can be blunt with her thoughts and opinions, but also knows when to keep her mouth shut. Despite her seemingly complete lack of empathy, she surprisingly tends to work well with others. She is obedient, and tends to follow the orders of her superiors without hardly any questions or resistance, even if she doesn't like it. Despite the attitude she can have at times with some people, she can be polite and respectful of her superiors.

Weapons: The only weapons she carries are a pair of daggers and a set of throwing knives. Her boots are magical, allowing her to walk silently to avoid detection through hearing. Her cloak is also magical, which can turn her invisible when wrapped around her, and the jewel is activated through touch.

Elements: Blood magic. Her magic is her primary means of defense, which she is quite skilled with, although it does tend to require a lot of concentration. She can manipulate it like water and control the movements of others through their blood. She can even stop someone's heart if she so chooses. However, she can also heal with her magic as well, particularly with health issues relating to blood, like blood flow and blood loss. She can also remove harmful toxins from the bloodstream.

History: Orphaned at a young age, Kasidra has always been a bit of an independent nomad, traveling the world in search of work just to get by, following wherever the money takes her. While not one to seek riches, she does hope to find her place in the world, and get enough of a steady income to survive off of. While not particularly proud of it, she has had to resort to stealing at times, just to survive, especially in her youth. Although, her success at such stealthy tactics and willingness to resort to unlawful methods, does help land her some shady jobs with a shady crowd of people. She can be paid to do practically anything asked of her, and combined with her abilities, tends to get a lot of assassin type jobs. She often bounces around from job to job, often being discarded by a group once she's no longer needed. Due to often working with the wrong kind of people, she's used to being mistreated and distrusted, as well as threatened if she doesn't behave herself. She's used to working with evil, which tends to ruin her reputation among those who have heard of her, but isn't opposed to working with good people. She has no loyalty to any particular alignment, and instead is loyal to whoever is paying her.

~ ~ ~

Name: Tyraika

Age: 20

Species: Golden Tiger Dragon

Good or evil: Neutral

Appearance: https://sta.sh/02dy6s5sv0yc
Tyraika is about 6'5 in height, with a sleekly muscular body. She looks like she has a good balance of speed and power. She has a mostly short, but thick, protective fur coat. Her fur appears longer in some places, due to her white, fluffy mane. Her wings are bat-like. Her horns have a rough texture to them, and they regrow if they ever break off. Her shoulder spikes are similar to her horns, but she can shorten and retract them as she pleases. When retracted, her spikes aren't visible or felt through her fur. They're usually hidden, outside of combat. She has big, cat-like paws, with retractable claws, and soft paw pads for walking silently. Her tail piece is sharp like a blade.

Personally: Tyraika is a solitary, independent hunter. She is primarily focused on her own survival. She is intelligent enough to know not to be rash with her actions. She won't pick unnecessary fights, preferring to focus her energy towards more important things, like her next meal.

Weapons: Teeth, claws, horns, spikes, and tail.

Elements: Fire and Electric

History: Tyraika was born in the wild, somewhere in the archipelago. In her youth, she lived on one of the islands with her family, learning how to survive from them. Her parents taught her everything she knows, and she used to practice her hunting and fighting skills on her siblings. When she became of age, it was time to leave the nest. She and her siblings set off on their own, each going their own way to find a home of their own. Tyraika claimed one of the other islands as her home, essentially becoming the protector of it, and preventing people from settling there. She hasn't really seen any of her family since she set off on her own, and doesn't know of their current lives or whereabouts.

OOC: Here we go again smilie

Name: Angora
Age: 22 (human years)
Species: Troll
Good or Evil: Good
Appearance: Stands only 2'3 feet tall due to a genetic anomaly. Most of her kind are five to seven feet tall. Unlike them, she has hair on her head and wears robes made by Maverick. In her possession a knife that may or may not have poison due to the battle against the White Shadow. It was a gift from Dex in the Redwater prison, which is kept hidden and not used often. Most used weapon is a wyvern fang that Veris gifted her, converted into a knife that she once carried around her neck but now has in her pocket.
Personality: Sometimes bitter and hardcore, though she has become better despite the prejudices. Lacks the bloodlust of most of her kind, and prefers to solve matters peacefully. Can be violent and merciless if no other choice. Selfish too, though lately is toned down. Loyal to friends almost to a fault. Children and certain animals tend to like her. Often offends people without realizing it, but is too proud to ask forgiveness. Shows her softest spot to Maverick and Shade, her so far only true friends, and can be kind to small children and those that are in most need. Can easily bear grudges and many times tries too hard to prove herself.
Weapon: Armor, Sword, Shield (when Neo activates), wyvern fang turned into a knife a poisonous dagger and magical red orb that helps her magic and can be used as a communicator.
Element: Whatever her magic can conjure.
History: A former thief that successfully destroyed the Darkmatter that was threatening to end the world. Has the spirit Neo permanently inside her, helping her with her magic and giving her advice on occasion. Has a history at sea, but remembers little about it. She encountered her past friend Maverick, with whom she restored her friendship and together with Shade travelled for a while until the dragolet's powers began to grow out of control, which caused them to be imprisoned several times under Aelinon law. Was forced to fight in the Redwater arena, where both she and a Shade survived. Was once kidnapped by the evil dragon Blue, until rescued by Shade. Thanks to Maverick insistence and appeal, they travelled the Enduring Legacy under the Guardian's rules, and in her journey met the mysterious figure talking from the orb, an artifact she once gave to him as a test. Is currently Veris's caretaker and recently Mischief's teacher, the newest crewmember.

Name: Maverick "Malo" Blakes
Age: 29
Species: Human with faun ancestry
Good or Evil: Good
Appearance: A slender, handsome, muscular young man with reddish brown hair, slightly tan skin and dark brown eyes. Due to his faun heritage, his arms and legs have more hair than a normal human. He doesn't have goat like legs like some of his ancestors, instead, they are perfectly human shaped. Wears a black shirt with torn sleeves and a small skull in it's chest, dark brown pants, leather boots and a small, gold medallion he keeps hidden under his shirt, which protects him from magic meant to hurt him. He also possesses a hyperspace bag where he can store almost anything no matter the size, except living things. He speaks with a Spanish accent and often uses Spanish words too.
Personality: An optimistic, childish man that's easily impressed, and no matter how ugly things get, he always tries his best to look at the positive side. He's aware how dangerous the world can be, he still moves forward. He also likes to see the good in everyone, whether human or otherwise. He loves animals, being half vegetarian, fish being the only meat in his diet, and tends to be very afraid of large predators. He also attracts women, though he never manages to be in a stable relationship until recently, where he's currently Ilasi's boyfriend. Despite not liking the way he, Shade and Angora are sometimes treated, he is learning to be the most tolerant and intends to amend the mistakes he or his companions made.
Weapons: A single metal shield plus a variety of weapons kept in his hyperspace bag that belonged to the mugger that almost killed him in Orcford. He doesn't want to hurt anybody unless given no other choice.
Element: n/a
History: A former pirate whose father, Captain Armon Blakes, terrorized the sea, stealing every treasure he could find and mercilessly killing anybody who opposed him. He raised the kid with an iron fist, determined to make him as dastard as him. Eight years ago, Maverick met Angora when his father requested a new buccaneer. She pretended to be a deformed goblin. She swapped the deck, washed clothes and prepared the meals. She would also steal treasure and cause mutiny, and Maverick had to defend her. Despite getting into her wrong side and being mistreated, he eventually managed to warm her up, forming a near sibling type of relationship, turning Angora into the moody yet civilized, confrontation hating troll she is today. A year later, she left the crew after getting tired of her job, and months after that, the ship was sunk by a storm, leaving Maverick as the only survivor. Despite reaching land and losing the life he knew, the man recovered and became a traveling merchant, where a reclusive wizard gifted him his special, hyperspace bag as a reward for turning over a new leaf. After finding out about the Guardians and their goal in his travels, it became his dream to become one for a while until learning about their harsh methods and ideals. He travelled for Angora and Shade for a while until their troubles in Aelinon led to the chain of events that forced them into helping the dragolet have better control of his powers and prompting him and his family to be employed on the ship as additional crewmates. His goal now is to help Shade with his powers and temper, and make Angora and now girlfriend Ilasi happy.
Other: His faun ancestry takes back more than five hundred years ago, in a time where human conquistadores took faun territory and nearly draw them to extinction until a small group took pity on them and helped the faun fight back, eventually winning the battle and creating a society of their own, having both pure and hybrid offsprings. Maverick's mother was one of such hybrids, while his father Armon was pure human. He's a cook and navigator in the ship. Was once kidnapped by some mysterious bugs, though he was rescued, with no memory of the experience.

Name: Dahlia
Age: 4
Species: Dirt Buffalo
Good or Evil: Good
Appearance: Has the hair and form of a musk ox, but the head and horns of a bison. Her fur is a deep dark brown with a very hard skin and bluish black eyes.
Personality: A rash and short tempered animal who tends to be vengeful, but can thankfully be controlled by Maverick or when realizing that the situation is out of her control. She is deeply loyal to the faun man, though tends to be very annoyed by him. Finds Angora a minor nuisance, but her loyalty can extend to her as well and always appreciates her care. She's also very loyal to Ilasi. Has tremendous empathy for others, even if she's afraid of wary of them. She can also have very severe panic when exposed to mayor predators like wyverns or dragons, but can thankfully be controlled by Maverick or sometimes Ilasi when assured. She also expresses herself very quickly and can't think of one thought at a time.
Weapons: Horns, hooves and hard skin
Element: n/a
History: Lost a fight with a matriarch for territory, resulting in her banishment. She found an oasis, where Maverick dominated and tamed her when he found himself in the need of a mount while Angora and Shade were imprisoned in Redwater. He earned her loyalty with time, refusing his attempts to release her. The dirt buffalo is determined to keep him protected, thinking him too dumb to survive on his own, a nature she now extends to Ilasi as well. She follows the two of them everywhere, no matter how terrified she is. She also developed a friendship with the beagle Chester.

Weapons: Her staff, her claws, magic. A few knives if she's desperate.

Name: Ilasi
Age: 24
Species: Merfolk
Good or evil: Good
Appearance: Ilasi is somewhat smaller in stature; however, the hard work she frequently does has definitely left her, at the very least, not looking scrawny. She can adapt between a tail form and a bipedal form; the latter takes longer to get into than the former. She has long, black hair, which she typically keeps bundled up when working. Illustration: https://i.redd.it/gdtawovh6mu31.png
Personality: Ilasi is generally patient and kind. She often doesn't voice her true feelings about things, or, if she does, does it as nonconfrontationally as possible. This can, in some instances, lead to some resentment, though she is generally good at not showing it. She is rather compliant, willing to go along with what she's told to do, and seeks to justify her own value. Despite all this, she is somewhat ambitious, looking to improve herself. She is somewhat more confident after entering a relationship with Maverick.
Weapons: Ilasi is not a trained fighter, but can, to some extent, use water magic to defend herself.
Elements: Ilasi has a growing roster of spells, most of them being water-based. The ones that aren't are generally linked to divination in some form.
History: Ilasi, having felt insufficient and pitied as a child, had long sought to improve her station, making it on her own and becoming as skilled in valuable trades as possible. To this end, she has taken on many jobs - though most of them weren't glamorous, they have, as a result of lack of supply of willing labor, been relatively well-paying, and have given her opportunity to improve her magic abilities via apprenticeships. Ilasi is no stranger to the horrors of war, but has never been engaged in any sort of battle herself. She has gotten a job aboard the Enduring Legacy, and has recently began a relationship with Maverick after many efforts to feel him out to see if he felt the same way.

Name: Laszur
Age: 27
Species: Galud
Good or evil: Whatever side the law is on is the side he is on.
Appearance: Laszur is around the size of the typical galud, with light beige skin and scaling. He is typically wearing blue wyvernhide armor, and what would appear to be a blindfold over his eyes in the day.
Personality: Highly analytical and focused, Laszur is more concerned with doing his job than receiving any sort of praise for it. He follows orders without question, and does not like to share his personal thoughts. He is merciless when it comes to delivering justice based on Aelinon's laws, and will spare no effort to have violators face penalties, regardless of their rank or standing.
Weapons: A pike, tail barb, machete, and several lighter spears suited for throwing.
Elements: Light and dark magic
History: Laszur grew up in Aelinon, and has always been interested in the military on account of all of the recruiting attempts and other propaganda related to it. Having a natural gift for magic, he focused his pursuit on abilities which would maximize his stealthiness. This has given him a position as a member of the Silent Spear. He will be serving aboard the Enduring Legacy on Aelinon's behalf, to monitor Shade's development.

Name: Latnok
Age: 32
Species: Human
Good or evil: Good
Appearance: A little over 6 feet tall, his skin has turned brownish-black, as a result of the Draconic Ascension ritual performed to grant him more power. This also left two burn scars around his eyes, like it did for others who have performed it. His body is covered in many scars as a result of his confidence in his combat abilities and willingness to cut it close. Generally, most of his features cannot be seen while he's under his green dragonhide armor, which covers him from head to toe and leaves him faceless.
Personality: Strong-willed and uncompromising, Latnok places high importance in working towards mission accomplishment. Though he tends to be quite pleasant to those he likes and respects, he lacks empathy for and can be severely harsh to those he doesn't like. He is highly pragmatic, often to a fault, and only shows mercy in combat when he wants to capture his enemy.
Weapons: Latnok's primary weapons are his bow, made of living wood from the Tree of Vitality, and his axe, made of phoenix steel. He has more recently gained a spear, made out of the bones of an ishiud creature known as a whistler - the spear enhances his magic capabilities while he wields it. He is proficient in most other weapons usable by humans, however, and can fight effectively at close range without a weapon by using strikes amplified by force magic.
Elements: Though Latnok can use several basic elements for mundane tasks, he is not combat proficient with any of them. Instead, he relies on a form of magic utilized by the Ardent Guardians in combat known as force magic, which works by modifying and redirecting kinetic force. His arrows can be charged with various spells. Like most experienced Guardians, he can use combat prescience to predict offensive and defensive maneuvers by his foes.
History: Latnok ran away from home at a young age to spare his mother the burden of having to care for him. He moved to a city where he lived as a street urchin, mainly surviving by hunting and doing odd jobs. At one point, someone attempted to kidnap him, but he ended up killing the kidnapper with a hunting knife on his person. Hunting was Latnok's most significant skill, and a chance encounter led to him joining the Ardent Guardians. His unwillingness to kill led to the deaths of two fellow Guardians, a fact which drives his complete lack of mercy or sympathy to enemies. He left the Ardent Guardians briefly due to differences in preferred methodology, but rejoined after learning of a dire threat following his encounter with Shade.
During his time in that mission, he had begun to grow somewhat of a bond with the fur dragon Raclaw - a former pet, a project of the Ardent Guardians in facilitating the coexistence of humans and dragons, now turned free dragon. This has culminated in their linking via Raclaw's collar, allowing them to share thoughts and emotions. Latnok, learning about how Angora truly feels, now seeks to make amends for his harsh treatment of her - at least to some degree. Though he had temporarily resigned as a leader, he is now determined to serve his role once more.

Name: Leoquin
Age: 25
Species: Merfolk
Appearance: Leoquin is about the height of an average man, with a lithe build. Depending on his environment, he can adapt between a tail form and a bipedal form, though it's far quicker to transform to the former than the latter.
Good or evil: Good
Personality: Leoquin is generally amicable. However, while he often has the right idea of things he definitely should not say, he tends to have poorer wording on other things on account of his tendency to say the first thing that comes to his mind, which can be interpreted as rude to the uninitiated. He also will make no effort to hide his disdain for others - unless they are his superior.
Weapons: Leoquin is most comfortable with spear-type weapons, as they are relatively easy to use underwater, though he has some knowledge of other kinds of weapons.
Elements: Leoquin knows a few water spells, mostly to help with his fishing.
History: Ever since a fateful day, Leoquin has been hard at work honing his seamanship skills, to make himself more useful to any potential crew he might join. In addition to combat, he has knowledge on many facets of running a ship and guiding a journey, including navigation and cartography.

Name: Seraos
Age: 27
Species: Human
Good or Evil: He feels his place is to serve the people, and he will be on whatever end of the spectrum he has to in order to fulfill that.
Appearance: Seraos stands at 5'11''. He has black hair, which he constantly cuts off due to not wanting to spend the time to maintain it. His official clothing, though definitely regal, is not nearly as showy as traditional garments.
Personality: Seraos considers himself a servant of the people. He is thoroughly dedicated to the survival of Aelinon. On account of his inexperience, many of his political decisions are driven by his more experienced advisors, and much of his power is delegated.
Weapons: Seraos typically carries a small blade of some sort for self-defense, and knows some magic. He has his royal guard to protect him, however, so he doesn't need to rely on just his own fighting strength.
Elements: None
History: Seraos had a rather sheltered life as a prince, most of his time being invested in various studies. He assumed the throne at a young age, as a result of his father's life being taken by disease. Since then, he has worked hard to learn what he can of leadership.

Name: Sere
Age: 123
Species: Human
Good or evil: Good
Appearance: Sere stand at about 7 feet tall. Like Latnok, his skin has changed to be blackish-brown, and his eyes have two burn scars around them. He shows signs of his old age, but lacks any of the frailty typically associated with it. He has scars from his many battles, but not nearly as many as Latnok, on account of being a much more conservative fighter. He is generally seen in his armor composed of red dragonhide, which covers him from head to toe, and leaves him faceless.
Personality: Sere is a man who, though he has strong ideals, recognizes that hard, unpleasant choices often have to be made to achieve them. Nevertheless, he does not stop striving for them, even when other Guardians disagree with him. He has unshakable faith in humanity, and looks to better his fellow men whenever he has the opportunity to. As Godfather of the Ardent Guardians, he is in charge of the general direction of the group - but always emphasizes the need to leave no one behind, and personally attends to the death of every Guardian.
Weapons: Though Sere's preferred choice of weaponry are generally polearms, he also wields Grimbane, a mystical sword which fell into possession of the Ardent Guardians some time not too long after their founding. Grimbane, requiring high proficiency in both light and dark magic, amplifies the user's capabilities with them, and draws power from the user's resolve to do whatever they have to do to reach the ideal. Like Latnok and every other Guardian, he is still deadly in close quarters even without a weapon.
Elements: Sere knows many spells of most basic elements - he uses light and dark magic in combat to deadly effect, with them complimenting each other and allowing him to strike at opponents from almost every angle. Like most trained Guardians, he can use combat prescience to predict offensive and defensive maneuvers by his foes.
History: Sere joined the Ardent Guardians over a century ago. After a horrific battle with the massive black dragon Shiavara, Sere realized how horrific it was to keep losing people to ill planning, and vowed to find a way to protect as many people as possible. His research into several forms of defensive magic have not only kept him alive, but have allowed him to outlive other Guardians who he would be in competition for in rank. Such tenacity eventually led him to his position today, where he has been able to enact many sweeping policies which have drastically extended the life expectancy of a Guardian.

Name: Veris
Age: 20
Species: Wyvern
Good or evil: Good (if only incidentally.)
Appearance: Veris is a large wyvern, covered in a mix of black and dark blue scales. His tail has calcification at the end which allows him to use it as a weapon.
Personality: Veris is highly obedient to most Guardians, especially Sere, as a result of his training. He is highly gluttonous, a vestige of his wild nature.
Weapons: Veris wields his claws, fangs, and tail as weapons, and is often supplemented by whatever his rider wields.
Elements: None
History: Veris is considered a shining example of wyvern breeding, having an ideal mix of strength, stamina, size, intelligence, and coloration. For this reason, he is the Godfather's personal mount.

Name: Huntress
Age: 27
Species: Human
Good or evil: Neutral
Appearance: Honey colored hair reaching below the knees, usually kept in a ponytail. Emerald green eyes and light skin. Leathered dark brown boots with spikes on their sides and front that can be activated. Heat and cold resistant gloves. Cape with reinforced cotton shirt and necklace in the form of a wolf. Protecting vest behind her shirt. Considered extremely beautiful by many men.
Personality: Acts very naive an innocent, but is actually very manipulative. Works only with those who pay best, though she has a code of honor when morale gets the best of her. Would do almost anything for money and riches. Can be ruthless and merciless when crossed. She's very proud but not usually impulsive, ready to back away from a clearly losing battle. What she lacks in strength makes it up for intelligence, stealth, stamina, agility, great reflexes and a killer aim. However, she has a hidden soft spot for children and small, fluffy animals. Her biggest flaw is how arrogant and obsessive she can be with her goals, especially concerning dragons, for whom she has an intense, deep hatred.
Weapons: Whip, Crossbow, Katana, Fireproof cape, Boomerang, Curved knife and Shurikens. All small and concealed.
Element: N/A
History: Lost her home to a rampaging dragon when she was very young. Was adopted by an Aelinonian soilder who taught her everything he knew. Went solo afterwards to help him make money, but when he went to war, it made her train even more, roaming the Aelinonian lands as a successful bounty hunter. Claims herself to do a better job than the Guardians, whom she considers a bunch of overpaid show-offs. Has a hidden fortune somewhere in the land that nobody but her knows about. Works very well with merpeople and wishes she could be one. Has a past with Maverickand seems to be deeply obsessed with him...
Other: She ditched her real name. She's only known for her nickname now.

Things change. The story has a much more serious tone now, and random Pokémon that are completely out of place in the universe undermines that.

... I've been taking the story seriously the whole time. The Pokemon characters are mostly because I'm obsessed with Pokemon.
... More serious tone. I'm actually hung up over that.
On the bright side, my latest idea isn't yet another Pokemon, so that's something. I do want more characters, so I'll work on that issue.

Ooc: starting post!

”If whoever you are will help me get free. These people are insane and need to be stopped!” Crystal said in her mind. She looked at the priest. “Anything is worth fighting for but the world isn’t like this. Yes it has bad and good fighting but that is how it is and will always be. It is how light and dark balance each other.”

Meanwhile on the island another cloked black dragon was watching the Enduring Legacy come in he leaned up against a nearby building. He sniffed the air smelling the scent of other dragons on the ship. He then caught the sent of Shade. “So he finally arrives? The queen will be pleased to see him.” He said to himself.

Angora was relieved they were going to see land again, though she doubted Shade would have much freedom in it. With land, at least Veris would get some excercise. She didn't want him to feel jealous due to the attention she gave to Mischief and Shade. At least the former was quite entertained with Digi's mileage of I formation and teaching.
"You will have to release me soon Shady. I have to attend Veria soon, and of course I also need to keep an eye on our new recruit." Angora expressed, Shade grabbing her so tightly in his exitement and happiness that it truly showed how much he had missed them and longed for this moment.

Maverick was inside Dahlia's enclosure, having carried a drowsy Chester there so they could play and awake properly. After a few minutes, Maverick headed to the main deck with the beagle, intendenibg to bring him to the dirt buffalo again later that day so they could entertain themselves while he caught up with Shade.

With the setting of the anchor, the gangplank was soon laid afterwards. Sere had assembled a scouting party, who would check the nearby area to ensure its security. The scouting party alighted as soon as the gangplank was down, and began scouring the perimeter for anything nearby. Sere himself would prepare to move out once the scouting report was delivered.

The sphere in Angora's possession began to glow once more - reaching out to her in the manner it had all the times previously, via telepathy. "The moment draws near, child - the moment where Sere will finally be united in purpose with us."

“Oh! Sorry Angora.” Shade let her go to allow her do her Daly things. “But you’ll come back to play right?”

Meanwhile the cloaked dragon watched the scouting party carfuly though acted calm and waited to see if more of the ships inhabitants would disembark. He would wait until an important looking person would disembark.

Angora was too shocked to answer Shade immediately. After so much time waiting, the man from the orb finally talked to her... it wasn't the message she she was expecting.
"Hm? Oh, sure. Sure Shady. I won't take long, I promise." she assured, leaving immediately and almost crashing onto Maverick.
"Oh. Sorry Maverick. I will be attending Veris now. I'll return to you guys later." she commented, giving a small hand wave to Chester and then leaving.
"Always so responsible mi Angorita. Just try not to make such an amazingly terrific job with him. He may not want you to leave when we return to Redwater." Maverick joked, knowing too well how serious Angora was with that responsibility.
"Just keep a close eye on the fox while I'm away please." Angora instructed, being in too much of a hurry to joke back.

While Maverick headed to the main deck with Chester in tow, Angora went to a corner on the way to Veris' pen. She then grabbed the orb.
"You finally talk to me... to tell me... that?" Angora commented, needing to know what did he mean with Sere joining them. She knew Shepherd was waiting for her to answer about his proposal, but she didn't know that Sere was part of everything. Perhaps Shepherd told her, but her mind hasn't been exactly the same since she visited him. She didn't know what happened, not even why she rejected his proposition, but her mind did feel fuzzy when trying to recall the meeting.

Chester happily followed-- having enjoyed his brief playdate with the now befriended and very fun Dahlia.

Risar kept an eye on deck, managing the crew as he usually did and only occasionally glancing at the no doubt pleased Shade.

Meanwhile, Latnok and Raclaw had plans of their own-- training! Latnok trained on a daily basis, so it only seemed fitting that Raclaw did what he could to improve upon himself as well. And that currently meant working on his fireball, or his basic fire 'powered up' by Latnok's air magic. As it currently stood, Raclaw had no other means to form anything beyond that of his basic fire. And thus; he and Latnok had a target dummy set-up in no time. Some of the off duty crew were watching with curiosity as two two began to combine their magic and... the first shot barely grazed the target. It was clear that Raclaw was a little rusty with the spell. "Well-- that could've gone better.," he commented prepared to not give up and to try again.

The voice in the orb was unwavering - remaining calm and sympathetic. "The ideal world is one of harmony. You have always longed for the respect of the Ardent Guardians - once Sere joins us, he will finally understand your true value. Is this not what you want?"

Initially, nothing seemed to be happening in Crystal's confined area. Soon, however - a loud explosion off in the distance could be heard. Ishulgites and their ishiud warriors soon came along and followed. There seemed to be a great deal of confusion - whatever happened, the mastermind was unable to locate the source.
The mastermind wouldn't have to concern itself with such a thing anymore. From the shadows, a wooden spike came darting at it - impaling it before exploding into shrapnel within, quickly causing it to collapse. With the mastermind down, the ishiuds were in complete disarray, losing the one source of guidance they all relied on. Again, from the shadows, more wooden spikes came - carefully aimed at Crystal's cage. Though the spikes didn't destroy the cage, they weakened it enough that, perhaps with some effort, she could break free.

Latnok was right at home training along with Raclaw, who he had come to cherish more than any other companion he had had before. Raclaw was the only non-Guardian who seemed to be a willing student of his - maybe non-Guardians just weren't suited for the standards he was holding them to. Latnok noted that Raclaw didn't seem to be as adept with his fire as other fire-breathing dragons naturally were, though he didn't know if it was just because the fur dragon was out of practice.

With enough effort Crystal broke free of her prison and screeched out in a war cry as she struck at the priest with her talons and sharp beak. “You’ll never change what the world is!”

The priest was completely taken by surprise, the chaos of the environment erupting in seconds. Soon, experimental creatures which were subdued before were now running amok, and the ishiuds were too disorganized to be of use.
He had no means to stop Crystal's assault, falling before her as the telltale signs of arterial bleeding became apparent. "The demon... how did..." The priest collapsed before he could say much more.
All of the experimental creatures in the area - including animals ranging from common bears to rare basilisks - were thrashing about. Crystal would have to be careful in her escape. There were several pathways she could choose from.

Back at Redwater, Huntress was helping the guards with their daily chores in order to distract herself from the awful time she had with the priest. Just what made him think he could get into a personal life like that? She begged a few of the soldiers to please escort him out of her sight if she saw him again.

Angora was not surprised he knew about that. He had some eerie way to know so much about other's lives, and she didn't questio why.
"Well that... not anymore. I have tried to appeal to him and Latnok so many times, but all I ever do is disappoint them. They treated me so badly and for what? For being a little rude in my words? It's not like I'm a bloodthirsty murderer or something. I was thrown in the brig for not addressing to Latnok a certain way. Can you imagine a stupider reason to put someone in prison?" Angora said, though she continued immediately cause she didn't want an answer to that.
"I can't imagine them ever treating me differently. They're too stubborn for that. The only way would be like brainwash or something." she said, though in a rather joking matter.

She then remembered for a brief moment her last talk with Sere and Latnok's assignment.
"I... don't know what happened to Sere. I think prison made him think a little. But... it's a matter of time before he acts the same way. The same happened to Latnok. Just when I thought I could speak freely to him..." Angora starting to say, falling silent. She thought she was going to cry, but she cried because of the Guardians so many times she felt like her eyes were dry when it came to them. She once seeked their approval, but now felt neutral about the matter. She really didn't care, or thought she didn't care whether they finally respected her or not.

“Hey Maverick! How are you doing this morning?” Shade said.

"Oh, doing fantástico Shady. Dahlia is well. Chester is happy. Angorita is finally starting to get some recognition. And above all, we get to talk to you again. Even if it's just a day, perhaps soon it'll be permanent. But for now, this day is starting well." Maverick commented, and that was of course without adding they will soon be on land again, although he hoped it wasn't hostile territory like so many of them.

Crystal dropped the body and started to fight her way through the chaos. She used her lightning ability and her claws and beak. She would try to fight the experimental creatures to prevent them from falling into wrong hands. “You freaks of nature will die!” She screeched as she clawed at them.

Chester was elsewhere on the main deck, probably playing or looking for Raclaw.
"He's around. He was following me. Perhaps he's looking for someone to give him some of my leftover cooking." he said with a smile, looking around to see where the beagle was. He couldn't see Raclaw anywhere, but figured he was nearby too, maybe in Latnok's cabin.

Regardless, he didn't fret and soon tried again this time taking more time and effort to focus his shot. It hit-- almost center in the target and was visually much more impressive. Lucky shot or getting better?

Chester wouldn't be that hard to spot-- currently receiving the attention of a sailor who couldn't quite finish their food.

Maverick grinned when seeing Chester, knowing that one of his suspisions were correct.
"Heh, see? There he is. Can you believe his previous owner mistreated him? The most disgusting display of cowardliness mistreating a creature who can't defend itself from you." Maverick said to Shade with some indignity, having overheard from Raclaw once how his original owner was mean to him. He knew of a few others who fit the bill, but it was a thought he kept for himself.

After contemplating the beagle for a while, Maverick addressed to Shade.
"Anyway, he has a better life now. And soon we will too. Speaking of which, I see you've been quite close to that dragon. At least you weren't lonely these last days. I've been trying to approach her, but I don't think she likes me very much." Maverick said, speaking about Tyraika. He didn't want the conversation to be about Chester's unpleasant past owner.

As Crystal wreaked havoc on the creatures in the area, the voice returned to Crystal, more urgent this time. "Don't waste time here. This is only a moment of chaos. The Ishulgites will be back in force before long, and you will almost certainly be recaptured - and they probably will not be as kind as they were before. Take the path to your left. It's barely big enough for you to fit through, and leads to a remote island where you can fly away." A presence could be seen for a brief moment - indiscernible, and melding back into the shadows rapidly.

"Is that really true?" the voice asked Angora coaxingly. "Or is that what you tell yourself to avoid the pain? You do not have to pretend with us - we are understanding. We can sympathize with you. We care about you. We are willing to help you achieve your goals." As persuasive as always, the voice still did not give any more details than it needed to.

Latnok was visibly pleased with the end result of the fireball this time. "That worked out just fine, didn't it?" he asked his close friend Raclaw. With how comfortable he felt around Raclaw, he started thinking again - what did he really want? Did he really want the life he was currently living? Or did he want to be... something else?

We care about you. We are willing to help you achieve your goals." As persuasive as always, the voice still did not give any more details than it needed to.

Angora was very skeptical. While she really was glad to know this man was so kind to her and never mistreated her once, she still had some doubts.
"Just answer me one final question; why me? Why do you care so much about me? The only one who was ever this kind without expecting anything in return was Maverick... and Shady of course. I... I understand you want a better world, but how will helping me help you achieve that goal?" Angora asked, demonstrating just how much of a low self esteem still lingered within her. Maverick was just too kind, and a Shade had initially followed her out of gratitude, but for most of her life she was put down for who and what she was, even by her own parents, so having someone who was still practically a stranger to her, helping her so much seemingly out of nowhere made her wonder if there was reason behind this support.

Tyraika was curled up off to the side of the deck, out of the way of everyone. Her head was raised as she curiously watched events unfold around her. She saw Shade happily greet his family. Tyraika was pleased that he was so happy, but still didn't quite understand the bond he shared with these humanoids. She tilted her head as she watched him act more like a giant puppy than a dragon. Tyraika found Shade's behavior strange and almost demeaning in a way, how he would act more like a pet. How long had he been stuck with these people? Did they force him to act this way? How could he be so happy with people who would collar him like this? Tyraika just didn't understand this domestic, civilized lifestyle.

The wild dragon also spotted Raclaw training with Latnok. Tyraika watched curiously and didn't really understand what they were trying to do, until she saw a fireball effect from their combined efforts. She tilted her head in confusion. Why were they trying to create a fireball that way? Couldn't Raclaw just create one on his own? Did he not know how? Didn't his parents teach him? It was then that Tyraika remembered what Shade had told her about the fur dragon's past. That's right, he was raised by humans. No wonder Raclaw couldn't use his magic properly. Is that what they were doing now? Was the armored human trying to teach him to use his fire more effectively?

”who are you?!” Crystal said as she started to run down the tunnel. She made sure to block the way she came from by using her lightning to make sure they would have a hard time chasing her.

“That’s good he couldn’t be in better paws.” He looked at the beagle then at Maverick. “Her name is Tyraika. She is very wary of others especially humans because she is still wild. But she seems more calm around me and Raclaw. I think it’s because spew are dragons.” He looked at Tyraika and smiled in her direction. “I like her because she doesn’t see me as a monster like the others do.” He gently brought Maverick closer and nuzzled him.

Maverick understood perfectly, knowing not all wild animals could get used to people. He was lucky with a Dahlia.
"Tyraika huh? Pretty name. Well I hope she can get use to me. And Angorita of course. If not, well, she'll at least have you." he commented, knowing he couldn't bribe her with food forever. As expected, Shade was being affectionate again. He really missed those moments.

OOC: Holy smokes. I slept through twenty posts. Ouch. I did skim for any that seemed particularly relevant to my characters.

Mischief peered out over the side and tilted her head. She felt a vague something. Whatever it was, she had more important things to do than watched. After a quick rest, Digi began coaching her through a human guise. She took to it as quickly as ever, although three details endangered her disguise. One, speaking felt off in this disguise, like it was forbidden or something. Two, and more notably, her eyes and the red "eyeliner" effect were the same. Contrasting with her black hair. Third, her tail wasn't hidden. But as Digi noted... "You've got it! You're at the same level as a typical Zorua!"
Mischief nodded. Same level as a typical member of her species. So now she was a magic fox with Illusions... She wondered if anyone had seen THAT before.
Digi continued. "Now, I will warn you. Be careful while using your Illusions. While they can fool all five senses, and most supernatural ones, your Illusion is as fragile as your body, if not more. A single direct blow is likely to break it wide open, exposing you. However, it is sometimes effective to mimic your foe's appearance. It often confuses them. And any Zorua will attest that confusing predators is useful. Confusing prey makes them easier to catch as well."
Mischief nodded before dropping her Illusion. "I don't know why, but... I don't want to speak in that form."
Digi shows a nodding Porygon. "Most Zorua can't. It's a little psychological quirk. Even those who can speak the human language often refuse to speak in human form. Nobody knows why. However, in worlds they're native to, Zorua are said to take the form of a silent child. The reason given varies. Usually the motive is to trick someone or blend in, but legends - ones most Zorua and Zoroark find insulting - legends claim Zorua will take the place of a human child. The only real giveaway is their silence."
Mischief raises an eyebrow. "And the tail isn't?"
Digi gives another electronic sigh. "Don't ask me. I only know the legend itself. Not the origin."
Mischief shrugs and looks out over the side again. "You think the humans will accept me as who I am? Rather than focusing on what I am?"
Digi beeps. "I calculate a roughly 1% chance."
Mischief coughs and looks at him. "You calculate a 1% chance?!" The pup sighs. "I generally just want to be loved... I've been alone, aside from Choco, for most of my life."
Digi made an alarmed buzz. "You what?! That's not healthy for a little Zorua! You're supposed to have a pack!"
Mischief shrugs. "I guess I was always a misfit. I got the name Mischief because of all the pranks I pulled. I'm wondering now if I should get a new name." She sits down with a sigh. "Dwelling on it won't help right now, I have other things to do... Hey, maybe I should go tell mister Latnok how much I've learned!" She begins silently debating with herself.
Meanwhile, Darkheart had felt landfall. She had expected to hold Raclaw again before it but this was fine too. She peered out of the shadows. Where was Raclaw.

“I’ve asked her to approach you two but she was afraid. I didn’t want to pressure her so I said she is more than welcomed to meet you guys on her own time.” Shade said. “He also speaks in the ancient dragon language which only a few can understand. I’m one of the few that can understand and speak the language. Which is probably why you probably heard me speaking in a weird language.” Shade said as he let Maverick go. He looked at him. “Say do you want me to ask if she’ll come over?”

"Nah, that's alright Oscurito. Like you said, let's not pressure her. She'll come at her own time. If she's seeing the way you treat me and Angorita, I'm certain she'll grow curious about it. Plus I gave her some of my delicious cooking. That should be enough to break the ice." Maverick commented, not wanting Tyraika to feel forced to interact with them just because Shade got along so well with them.

Maverick was glad Shade was so comprehensible. While Shade looked at Tyraika, Maverick watched Mischief. She looked very entertained with that little talking machine, so he doubted she was going to be any trouble. Since Angora looked like she was going to take a while with the gluttonous Veris, he decided to be the first to do some catching up.
"So then, you've been well, haven't you? At least you got that dragon keeping you company, and your powers hand't gone out of control in a long time. Things are going well. I'm looking forward to a little trip to the island. I hope it isn't hostile, but of course we have you. Not too many creatures would dare to face a dragon your size. Even that tonguean knew what was good for it." Maverick commented, though regretting bringing up that last part since it brought so many bad memories. He did feel a little bad for the creature though. At first it seemed it was following him out of curiosity, but it doomed itself when it instead decided to predate on him and the other sailor who had a dangerously close call. Shade of course was a great source of protection. He doubted the island would have creatures like behemoth roaming, since monsters those size had to be continent species rather than island, and at least most of the other bigger creatures were deep at sea.

"I know Oscurito. I know." Maverick replied as he patted his cheek, knowing he meant it.
"But recuerda to keep that overprotectiveness under control." he then suggested, knowing that his super protective nature, particularly concerning him and Angora, has brought him trouble in more than one occasion. But he hoped that with Laszur and the Guardian's training, he would tone down such nature, or at least be more under control of his emotions when such situation arises.

Maverick shook his head a little, remembering way before meeting Shade how he believed dragons were.
"Is that really how dragons are? Heh, you know Oscurito, even far away at sea, I had heard about dragons. These fire breathing, flying creatures who ravaged villages and hoarded treasure, and that if you approached one, you would either get burned to a crisp, squashed like a bug or devoured instantly. I guess there are some evil dragons in the world, like that water dragon that tried to enslave you?" he said, that being another bad memory. The water dragon almost killed them that time.
"But him aside, I was pleasantly surprised how your reputation is badly exaggerated. You... do have a few things to correct, like that overprotective nature, but you are still a really good dragon who only wants precisely that, to protect. You're not at all like how dragons were described to me. And just imagine my surprise when I saw how much variety in species there is. You have someone like Raclaw, who looks nothing like a dragon and more like a griffin, your friend Tyraika, who looks more like a tiger with wings, and wyverns like Veris, who can even be domesticated and grow fond of others who aren't their owners, like with Angorita. He couldn't adore her more." Maverick commented, very happy with everything he has learned about dragons and how unfair their reputation is.

Tyraika watched Shade interact with Maverick, but was too far away to hear what they were saying. She noticed her friend's occasional glances and smiles, and guessed that he was trying to convince her to go over there and greet the hairy human. However, Tyraika wasn't exactly sold on the idea, and decided to stay put where she was resting. She still didn't fully trust these humanoids and wasn't exactly interested in getting to know them. Shade seemed happy enough with them, for whatever reason, but she still intended to go back home to her island. Tyraika saw little point in befriending people she expected to never see again.

Although, Tyraika had been beginning to doubt that her initial impression of them was correct. These people hadn't really tried to kill or capture her, and didn't seem interested in stealing any of the treasure in her lair. They treated her wounds and seemed more interested in letting her go. Even the dragons here seemed to like them, although she didn't quite understand why. Tyraika supposed that these people really weren't the terrible hunters or pirates she originally thought they were. However, she still didn't particularly like them, and didn't want to be here.

At Redwater, there wasn't much going on. Huntress kept a close eye to her surroundings, but the priest seemed to have disappeared as soon as he showed up. Nevertheless, she wasn't going to let he guard down. She wasn't going to let the priest approach her again.

"I know Oscurito. I know." Maverick said, patting his wing.
"I'm just glad that most of the dragons I've met are so good." he then commented, feeling rather silly for talking to such a large creature. Was it him, or did Shade grew a little bigger? If he kept growing like that, he would soon have to get him and Angora on his back instead of climbing him themselves.

Maverick pat him again, knowing Shade was going to be an affectionate mess for the rest of the day.
"Us too." Maverick assured, really wanting Angora to be there with them, but it was no mystery Veris usually kept her busy.
"If only Angorita could be here right now. I'm glad el capitán trust her enough to take care of his wyvern, but I feel like she's overworked. And now señor Latnok has her watching over that fox." he said gloomily, knowing this was time Angora could've spent with them if she didn't have such responsibilities. He knew by what little he has seen that Veris wasn't easy to take care of.

The voice replied to Angora without hesitation. "We care for the downtrodden, the disenfranchised. You have suffered much throughout your life. We seek the opportunity to bring out your potential - much like we have done with others - and to give you a place you can be happy with so many others. Ideally, we would be able to share this unity and happiness with everyone in the world. Is that not enough for us to desire?"

The shadowy presence seemed only able to afford Crystal a brief, rushed answer. "As of now, I am known as Banewood - and I seek to right the wrongs here. Now leave, but do not return to your island - the masterminds will find you sooner or later, and you'd best not want your people to be around to encourage any ideas." After that, the shadowy figure was nowhere to be seen.
The path ahead would wind for a bit, until eventually opening up to a deserted, uninhabited island. Crystal would have to find her own orientation from there.

OOC: Maverick spoke to Shade.

Angora thought for a while, not surprised that he would use such complex words to answer the question. She still had doubts, though a little less than before.
"Ok..." was all she could manage to reply, not knowing what other words she could possibly say about the matter.
"Well... um, I have... things to do now. And... I can only be with Shade today, so I want to be done with my chores sooner. I... see you later... I guess..." Angora said with some skepticism, wondering how Shepherd could possibly change Sere, or Latnok. Orion, the mighty Galaxy dragon himself, wasn't enough to convince them of her worth, so why would they listen to someone who was unknown to most of the world?

She headed to Veris' enclosure, but then remembering she had to go to the kitchen first. She was thinking of bringing Veris with her to the main deck so that she could spend time with both of them at the same time and none would feel left out. Since Shade was a dragon, this would be the perfect opportunity for them to talk and know some of Veris' thoughts in the meantime.
