As otters are my favorite animal. They serve large Ecosystem roles. So large that when either they go or crows do, humans are ****ed essentially.

Otters being both land and aquatic animals play a role in water creature population if not a lot of them are around, then there's a factor of issues with the water.

Sea Otters keep sea urchins at bay so there's kelp so there's fish still around.

Did you know that otters who are romantic partners hold each other's hands when they sleep so they don't drift apart. I thought this fun fact was a bit wholesome.

I think that just extends to Sea Otters in general. Though it does make extra sense that it's for their significant otters
