im not sure about a lot of the movie but eggman looks excellent

I expected I would give it an automatic dislike, but I just can't bring myself to rate it either way now. It looks....intriguing.

Same, I feel pretty neutral about it. It looks like it might be somewhat self-aware, which could be enjoyable, but it also seems to follow the "I found a CGI character!" plot-line, which I'm pretty bored of. I'm more interested in Detective Pikachu at this point because it's trailers at least have a lot going on artistically, which suggests more thought is being put into it.

But I did like some of the gags in this trailer. Like all of the missiles around Sonic being really slow. But, again, that's a troupe you can find with pretty much every fast character...

This looks horrible! A regular cop should not be the main character of any Sonic movie! The police can never do anything about Eggman because of his superior technology; that's why Sonic always has to step in. He's the only one who can destroy Eggman's robots as quickly as he creates them. Eggman practically scienced himself into someone with god-like creation abilities if you consider how nobody commented on Eggman being gone for much longer than usual in Sonic Colors. Within that time, he managed to take over and enslave multiple entire planets and turn them into an interstellar amusement park, build a planet-sized entryway to his amusement park, and build an elevator into interstellar space. Although the wisps weren't much of a match for him, Eggman still built all of that without the fastest thing alive being able to stop him until much of it was already built. Sometimes, Sonic has even needed help from Tails, someone who has made a working TV entirely out of paperclips, to stop Eggman. While he does make a lot of stupid mistakes, there have been many times Eggman almost succeeded anyway. If you mean to tell me that Sonic needs a regular-ass cop is of any help to him to stop someone as powerful as Eggman, you have something else coming to you.

This is around the ballpark of what I expected in terms of being a "so bad it's good" kind of movie. Probably gonna see it for the lols.
