if you keep your ketchup in the fridge why do you like putting cold sauce on hot foods

I don't put it in the fridge, but I can understand how it might be nice to feel the two different sensations. Being autistic, the way I feel things is often different to neurotypical folks, likely the reason why I'm a picky eater too, but could see myself enjoying this. Admittedly, I do like dipping piping hot chips into a pot of ketchup to cool them down.

What do you think of ketchup being in the fridge? smilie

I mean, I put mine in the fridge but now that I think about it... is there any real purpose? Does ketchup go bad?

I think I'll keep doing it, if only because it'll feel weird not to at this point.

I can only speak about sauces in the UK, but there's that much salt and sugar in ketchup that preserves it that it doesn't need to go in the fridge, and it's very well contained so I don't think so. And because it won't get much exposure to the air it'll hardly go bad that way.

After you have opened it yes.

Before it's been opened it can be stored in a cupboard until it's first use.
