Just recently, I was looking through this store catalog, and I noticed that they are selling this game for 30 dollars. This is compared to the $50 they are charging for a bunch of sports games and the $40 they are charging for Fallout 76, which from what I've heard was a failure. That in itself doesn't mean much, bye. No notice that in other forms I go to, this game doesn't really get talked about.
Instead of looking at prices, maybe look at the fact it was on first seller on some countries for a good while. That said, that might not be enough for Acti, though what even is enough profit for them.

I was seeing articles back in November saying it apparently only sold a few thousand less units than N. Sane did initially, which actually isn't that bad. It also was topping the charts on launch week, though if you combined the two versions of Pokemon Let's Go that was #1 because... Pokemon.
It's likely only on sale due to it being the holiday season, I wouldn't read too much into it.
