Hi - So completed Sunrise Spring World 100%.
Midday Gardens World is all done bar the Bamboo Terrace at 71% with Smash to the mountain top to complete.

If I understand correctly, I have to beat someone in the Evening Lakes and come back to complete the above? (sound right).

If so, how the hell do you get to Evening Lakes............I am dumb, cannot do it?????

Yes, you have to rescue Bentley in Evening Lake to 100% complete that level, just like you had to rescue Sgt. Byrd to complete all the worlds in Sunrise Spring.
You should be able to access Evening Lake by going near the whirligig and selecting it.

If it doesn’t work then you either ran into a bug or forgot to complete Bamboo Terrace’s main “quest” and left the level before the panda at the end thus preventing him from reaching the whirligig.

So - What is the bamboo terraces main quest?

The whirligig is now telling me they need more help to operate it?

You have to reach the panda at the end of the level inside the pagoda, which will activate the exit portal and open the shortcut to the beginning of the level.
You shouldn’t be able to miss it, unless you leave the level from the menu, and it shouldn’t be the case if Bentley’s egg is the only one you are missing there.

Are you sure you completed everything else in Midday Gardens (only the regular levels matter, the Speedway isn’t important to proceed)?
If yes, then I’d suggest you to exit the game and re-enter it, possibly even by closing the application entirely.

Year of the Dragon is quite buggy unfortunately, but I don’t remember hesring about unfixable problems.

EDIT:
oh, then you are most definitely missing some NPC, somehow!

Check the ones you have:
- a bear from Icy Peak;
- a firefly from Spooky Swamp;
- a purple citizen from Enchanted Towers;
- a panda from Bamboo Terrace;
- Sgt. Byrd from his own level.

Just exit each level from its portal and the character should be at the whirligig waiting for the other ones to start it.
