All inappropriate content is now BANNED!!!

One of my benign posts got flagged the other day...

I get banning child pornography blogs, but my random Spyro meme? Whoever/whatever they have flagging things is literally insane.

All inappropriate content? More like anything that shows skin color, including normal people, dogs, mushrooms, fish... It's visibly a bot that's worse than anything youtube's ContentID could muster.

Don't forget when they said written content was alright and proceeded to flag it anyway, including their own post about it.

Yeah, I've seen jokes about Mario in a bathing suit getting flagged because of his chubby man nips.

If you think about it, Tumblr and Youtube aren't 'dead' per se, because they still exist. It's just that they've changed and evolved, so the idea of them that we originally had is no longer the same as how they really function. I can't see either site dissapearing off of the Internet, at least for a long time. It's just that they've changed from what they were originally.

What tumblr thought when the app was taken off the app store because of the child porn blogs:

It was all and only porn

I get that most companies don't listen to their built up community, but this is absurd amount of deafness, especially since there's a blog filter that you state that this blog is for adults only. They literally had the technology prevent a lot of bots and bot attacks from happening as well as taking up a mantle of taking down blogs that actually break their ToS, but what did they do? Swam in Verizon's money of course. Maybe had they actually implemented the coding of their AI earlier (I mean they have, just never improved it. Recalling from past events), actually had a report system that actually got you into contact with a person for more issues on a blog (I know bot automated messages are a thing, but so many other issues with how they did such), or ya know listened to the people that get them monetization/ad money.

I feel no remorse for tumblr. They dug their grave and now they're burying themselves in.

Least with youtube they're attempting to improve. Slow process, but considering tumblr had a ear talking for years about issues til the breaking point. It's saying something.

Can we talk about "Female presenting nipple"
the site that supposedly gives "freedom of expression", where women and minorities can feel safe and comfortable to express themselves, just singled out women saying that a part of their body was "obscene" or "graphic"

Not even kidding, someone posted about their mushroom pictures getting flagged but their actual smut was fine. That's not even the entire highlight but I'm still figuring out how to retrive posts from the black hole that is the twitter timeline.

What is it with the biggest internet platforms relying algorithms and opposite extreme ends? It's like how YouTube, Facebook and Twitter and Steam aren't really curated except when it shouldn't. Banning porn won't affect actual pedophiles, Nazis and doxxers from poisoning Tumblr. It's just everyone else who did nothing wrong that will pay the price.

Even if you don't upload porn, it'll be flagged as porn anyway. ****ing hell!

An ex-tumblr staff has been anonymously by Vox and said Verizon has been planning this for months and used the Apple removal as a scapegoat. As usual, you guessed it, because advertisers don't like to display stuff in porn sites. Even if there are no ads in individual tumblr pages because it's all on the dashboard and tag search???

-A ceramic pig
-Another ceramic pig
-A 40 foot inflatable pig
-Two porcelain puppies
-A black and white painting of some trees

Less innocent but still really funny thing that was flagged on my dash:

-Shirtless photos of my favorite MALE singer on stage. I guess his nipples were female presenting in those pics :'(
