Would you?
I think I would! I'd like to help the mum/dad out because being a single parent would be rough. And if I loved them, I'd be happy to love their family too!

I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Probably not. The thing is, I'm 17, so I imagine the age gap might be a bit too much.

Well...yeah I’m only 20..
If I were like..30 and they had a kid, then maybe. Depends on how much I like the kid. I know that sounds a little shallow, but tbh I’m not a huge kid fan.

Same about being older and actually being on a good mental state. However, I have histories in the family of relatives trying to sabotage their parents' dates with horrible consequences, so I'd only hope that diplomacy could prevent that before it happened.
Seriously, I know a story that a relative spiked their parents' lunch with something their date was allergic to. Kids can be pretty smart.

Depens on the age of the kid. But as a rule, I don't go out with people who have kids. Not going to have any kids of my own and I don't want to raise anybody else's children.

Even with all of that age difference stuff out of the way, no. I don't like kids, that's it really.

I don't think I would be able to love them the same way I could imagine loving my own children, so perhaps not. I'm not 100% against it though, as I've seen one of my friends pull it off pretty well.
It would honestly depend a lot of where/who the other parent of the child would be, and if they would still be alive in the first place. It might sound strange to someone but I would really dislike having to "share" a child with some other guy, as the biological father would also have his rights to see them and to spend time with them. |

If the father was dead, sure. Otherwise it would be awkward.

Hmm. Honestly I never plan on having my own kids, but it is a nice idea for me to help raise a child none the less. So really, it doesn't matter if they're my own biological child or not because I'd still love them as family, I think!
And if you love the parent, you need to take the whole package! But yeah, I get the idea of "sharing" a child may be off putting, but from my experience it also gives you a time out from the kids as well, something not a lot of parents would get ... and something they probably wish for often pfft. |
