As happened for Crash, probably Spyro will get a remake of the American and Japanese boxart.

The same goes for Spyro, who only released the first and second games, but not the third one.

So what will they do for the Japanese version of Spyro Reignited Trilogy?
In my opinion they will do the same boxart of Spyro 3 UK but with kawaii japan eyes

The N. Sane Trilogy has boxart differences as well! So I imagine Reignigted will have some as well

I don't know as Spyro 3 never got released in Japan, and Spyro wasn't super popular there. I think the Japanese localisation was pretty poor?

I could honestly see them making their own unique boxart for Spyro 3, which would be really interesting to see.

^Well they could release the remake to Japan without adding those features that made the originals bad. That way, it would hopefully get more popularity and recognition.

Oh my god, I can’t stand this guy’s fake AVGN voice.

Ugh... I’m sure the content itself is fine, but that’s such a turn off

Maybe I'm just super adaptable or something, but I'd say that the "awfulness" of the Japanese port is really, really, really overblown.

Really, the only thing I found that I actively hated was in Spyro 2, where they force you to only charge in short bursts at a time underwater. And even then, it only made me realize how actual LITTLE swimming there really WAS in Spyro 2.

As for the reasons for these changes, I can 100% say the THOUGHT behind them isn't entirely unfounded, like a lot of people like to make them out to be.

My mom was NEVER able to watch me play Spyro when I was a kid, because it made her motion sick to the point of actually having to go to the bathroom to puke.

She was the age that a bunch of those game importers at the time would have been, and she also didn't grow up around such fast-paced video games and cartoons. If she were working with those Japanese porters, she'd definitely also easily come to the conclusion of "Oh, yes! This game is clearly too much and could possibly make children sick! Because, clearly, it makes ME sick! Lets change things to fix the problem!"

Now a days, we understand fast paced video games more, and less and less people that susceptible to motion sickness from them, since we're kinda surrounded by them everywhere. It's not the same as it was back in the 90s.

The changes made to the Japanese Spyro Port were simply just a wonky product of their time, and I can GUARANTEE you, would not exist in the Reignited port.

It still has plenty of motion blur though, which also can make you motion sick.
