It should've, but as the guy said, if they didn't even have the drive to know about Spyro, they'd probably get everyone else wrong too.

Eric Rogers straight up played several of the games and started a collection of his own, as well as doing a bit of research on the side of Spyro on his own - and though he admitted he changed a few characters around, it was all for the benefit of the dynamic he had in mind and he clearly knows their original traits. He came out of the left field considering iirc it was his first time screenwriting, but I wouldn't have asked for anyone else now. TeamTO is also amazing.

I wonder if there will be any classic Spyro references in Academy season 3 to bank off the Reignited Trilogy's hype. I think (?) season 3 is still in production.

They started wrapping up before the announcement, and VA and writing ended early last year. Unless Eric was told things in advance, I don't think we'll be seeing any.

Aw, that kinda sucks. I hope Activision told Eric about it because I don't think we're getting a Skylanders game anytime soon, and I'd hope for the future of Academy getting more seasons, they'd try to bank off the Reignited Trilogy hype (I guess they are in the way of the rumored September air date, but I think you'd need more than that).

Anyway, a Skylanders show would have been AWESOME if it had come earlier. As it is, didn’t the show premiere during Superchargers or something?! What a shame.
