The Avengers are formed with Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Hawkeye, and Black Widow, and they save the world from an alien invasion spearheaded by Loki using the Space Stone. Thor's friends give the Reality Stone to some shady guy. SHIELD has fallen, and the Avengers have been privatized by Tony Stark. After he and Bruce Banner use Loki's old staff, containing the Mind Stone, they create Ultron who nearly destroys the small country of Sokovia. They gain War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver (who dies), and Vision, who keeps the Mind Stone in his forehead. In space, the Guardians of the Galaxy stop Ronan from killing a planet with the Power Stone. Two of the Guardians are Thanos's daughters. Back on Earth, the Avengers and Ant-Man and Black Panther and Spider-Man all fight because the UN wants to regulate superheroes after the Sokovia thing. The Avengers split up! Oh no! Cap and all his friends are fugitives now. Doctor Strange trains in magic and learns how to use the Time Stone, and places it around his neck like a dumbass. Thor goes home and Odin dies because of his secret sister who breaks his hammer and sends him to a trash planet. Thor finds Hulk on the trash planet and they stop Thor's sister but destroy Asgard while Loki takes the Space Stone back. Black Panther opens up Wakanda's borders.

The Avengers are no more. Odin and Asgard are dead. Nothing can stop someone from trying to take the Infinity Stones.


Thanos is a big purple guy who loves rock collecting. He would pay top dollar to find these special rocks called Infinity Stones and put them in his big metal glove to make him look pimpin' and also destroy half the universe. Lots of cool and strong people called the Avengers have a lot of these Stones, but they don't want Thanos to have them, so he tries to kill them with his generals and a ton of aliens. Luckily, the Guardians of the Galaxy also like these Stones and the Avengers but don't like Thanos because he killed a lot of people while fighting over rocks.

TL; DR: The Avengers and the Guardians team up to protect the world's coolest rock collection from a big purple guy.

honestly the only thing that could be sadder than when spidey died would be if ant-man's kid was affected by the snap. that would be heartbreaking.

I think it was unconfirmed last I checked, he was under house arrest or something. IIRC the only characters who definitely aren't dead are: Iron Man, Cap. America, Thor, The Hulk, War Machine, and someone else I've forgotten.

Rocket was the one I forgot now you mention it, still can't remember BW being mentioned, and I think the list I read only included main superheroes so the others might not have been mentioned. They'll probably going to come back some time anyway, this is literally comic book logic we're following here. Ant Man already has a confirmed sequel.

she didnt have a "friend" who died, she was just in the final shot in wakanda, but its all the original avengers plus rocket, war machine, nebula, ant-man, and soon captain marvel
the ant-man characters were only shown in the post credits of ant-man and the wasp
