i dont mean how iconic and catchy green hill zone is but how can anybody with an ear drum listen to theme of infinite and think "yeah, i like this". every time i listen to a sonic song with vocals the lyrics are just always cheesy and im pretty sure listening to it in public is the equivalent of listening to blood on the dance floor. every song just sounds like its trying to be cool and fast paced but always ends up sounding like some generic fueled by ramen punk pop band. if you want a song that is both great in game and irl look at something like jump up, super star or last suprise. or you know my taste in music is different

True, Jump Up Super Star sounds like a song you'd hear on the radio.

I liked Sonic music, not so much anymore though. Particularly the Sonic Heroes theme 'cause I played that game as a kid.

Playing SMO and not hearing JuSS prior, I was quite surprised at how it sounded. Not "good", so to speak, but better than I expected. I was expected it to be more annoying, like Everything is Awesome and most other songs that are created solely for videogames/movies.

One of my favourite bands made a theme song for a videogame once - well, actually twice, but I've only heard one of them. That was nothing like how I'd imagine "generic videogame song".

Don't strawman your way referencing Forces of all things. We're here for EGGMAN,His World, Endless Possibilities... There's ups and downs just like the rest of the franchise, and Infinite's theme fits that Metal Gear Rising Revengeance niche of just getting you pumped for... Anything.

Also, it's not just about sung themes. Just give me that Sealed Ground, all day, erry day.

Oh yeah there's also Aqua Road which I guess everyone forgets by the time the game is over, can't blame anyone for that.

If you want to just see the backstory, it's a quick search away. Episode Shadow is like 30 mins if you REALLY take your time, and the backstory is less than 5.

Or, you know, you could just let people enjoy what they want?

Sonic's music has frequently been one of the few positives in even bad Sonic games. Theme of Infinite's lyrics make me wince but there's no denying the power in its instrumentation. It gets you going.

Jump up Super Star is absolutely better but for different reasons, and it's not a song you go to to get hyped for something.

Sonic Forces has the worse soundtrack tbh. They over use auto-tune, dubstep, and Infinite's theme is a dumb rap with bad lyrics.

Infinite's theme is so edgy and ridiculous but I like it tbh

Dunno about Sonic, but some of the music I listen to tends to have really cheesy lyrics. For example, quite a lot from Bloodbound's War of Dragons and literally everything Gloryhammer has ever done.

And that one song that had the line "guitar hero nerd", that was... particularly cheesy.

This works better than the actual theme of Infinite tbh. Mostly because Dr. Coyle's theme drowns out any uneeded dubstep that made the Infinite theme sound like nails on a chalk board.

I like Infinite's theme because of how dumb it is, but his battle themes are better in my opinion. Forces' soundtrack can be divisive but it is no Chronicles/Eraser levels of terrible.

Tbh I forgot Chronicles exist and it had a soundtrack. In fact wtf was the soundtrack for that game?

It butchered Big Arms' theme so badly you could make a mincemeant pie with the remains.

i love crush 40, it sucks a lot of songs are cheesy tho, but i like em. Plus Escape from the City is sung by the lead singer of my favorite band so

Infinite’s song is pretty good. Just uh... avoid the lyrics.
