Eventually, I would like to get into designing fully customized toys and parts out of plastic. But I would like to know which is the best option to do so: Use casting resin, or 3D print. I know the resin method is complicated but I know how it works, as for 3D-printing, It's really expensive, of course, but would it work a lot more smoothly compared to resin?

I had the idea of making my own game cartridge housing/shell clones, by the way. Don't ask.

From what i've seen i'd go with 3D printing.

It can be expensive, but once you're established the costs balance out.
