Yeah but often times stereotypes can hurt people.
Some people can't take jokes very well thanks to stuff that has happened in the past

Oy.... DragonDog, they're making stupid troll-ish jokes. Half of the ones who were saying crap against the South are from the South as I recall. I'm from Texas and usually don't care for a lot of Southern/Texan stereotyping. Whatever, just shake it off and move on. It's not worth it to get worked up like this. Trying to fight back like this only spurs them on. You know the saying "Don't feed the trolls". It's fine to be annoyed by it and not like it, just ignore the topic and go on about your day. Let the trolls make their stupid jokes and don't let it affect you, it'll take out half of their fun and lets the whole thing die down and blow over that much faster.

Yes, as I said, I have family in Texas and they're wonderful, intelligent people. FAR from the stereotypes they're often given. We don't think people of the south are that way because we know they're not, unless they're very, very, rural or something. A greater some of Southeners are just like people in the rest of America.
