Maybe it's not THIS Thursday. We still have the 22nd and 29th to go.

Often times leaks aren't 100% true or false. It's likely Activision may have changed the announcement date at the last minute.

Back to speculation we go? The post said that they wouldn't remaster the soundtrack, so that's good news if true. But this 'I didn't think the post would blow up' very much blew up any credibility.

Well, at least chances are it isn’t called “Treasure Trilogy” after all, so maybe they came up with a more creative name.

I do think it’s going to be revealed next week, because I simply don’t see Numskull showing off potentially new designs, logos and arts while we still don’t even know the name of the game for sure.

See, normally I’d be like “OMG guys, this is the very same guy who leaked Skylanders SuperChargers a couple days before it was revealed, it’s definitely true!”, but it won’t happen.
I’m glad there is yet another reliable leaker who is supporting the “rumor” (even though I have no doubt about the actual existence of the game itself) but I simply won’t consider this statement at all.

From now one the only evidences I will believe to will be the ones I can actually see (merchandise, official secret accounts, leaked images or videos).
No more Twitter, no more “reliable sources”, no more dumb hype.
It’s either facts or Activision.

I much prefer the Superchaged Trilogy! I don't remember who suggested that, but that's a much better name imo.

Two problems with that name though:
Supercharge isn't THAT big an aspect of Classic Spyro whereas the treasure is all over the place and essential to the game.
Skylanders Superchargers. More people will make the connection to that game than they will to anything Classic Spyro related.

I doubt hype is doing anything but helping people feel good. If Activision are making a Spyro game and it's been in development for some time they're not going to drop it because public hype was too low. They'll try to make a profit on anything they've spent money on. As I said earlier, Legacy of Kay saw a remaster, so I've no doubt Spyro will get content in some form or another this or next year.

What about "Flamin' Hot Trilogy"

Come to think about it with a clearer mind, I think chances are “Treasure Trilogy” could really be the name.
Wouldn’t be surprised if the only incorrect information we got so dar were the actual announcement date, even Laura reinforced the unlikeness of that part in her tweets.

But if that isn’t our name, I think we should aim at something iconic for mostly the entire series, similarly to how N. Sanity Islands’ name was used dor Crash’s remakes.
A location perhaps, or maybe some item or recurring feature.

Here’s a couple examples based on that idea:
“Gems Trilogy” (because of the gems being in basically every game, included the Legend ones, and because the first three games are gems themselves);
“Gateway Trilogy” (mostly because of the portals, no other meaning except maybe for a reference to the second game’s european title);
“Superflamed Trilogy” (technically is in at least the first three games, is a pretty iconic element and I also think represents Spyro’s personality and traits quite well).

N. Flamed Trilogy

How about "Toasting' Trilogy" or "Torching Trilogy"? Those words are used a lot in the series when enemy fighting is involved.

How about Charging Chrilogy? That's how I'd say it.

Really like “Toasting Trilogy”, nice reference to Spyro the Dragon’s first boss too.

Just a quick reminder: if there is anyone announcing anything regarding Spyro, check Activision's verified Twitter profile first before we start retweeting and screaming at the top of our lungs that Our Lord & Saviour has come. Just seen a massive "reveal" by @ActivisionUS, but it's a fake account and was using an image of Spyro in Unreal 4 (one used in this thread).

Return of the Dragon sounds awesome! I think it would fit as the title of a new game too, especially if it was set quite a while after Year of the Dragon.

Doctor Cupcakes, probably the most reliable and knowledgeable leaker around, recently said that among all the future releases he knows about there is one which will unleash a huge amount of salt.
I’m praying all the exsistent deities in the multiverse (including our beloved Cthulhu of course) for it to not be some Spyro, where Activision decided to go for something unexpected.

I think “Spyro: Unleashed” would fit better as a new game’s title, but while I personally would like if they stuck to the “... Trilogy” formula I wouldn’t mind some more creative name.
Maybe even a slight change with the “Trilogy” part turning into “Collection”.

I’d pay to see a title like “Spyro the Dragon: A Few Gnorcs but No Sheep”.

I mean, Spyro already caused salt over a mistaken leaker, who didn't even say anything controversial(in fact, he said all good things). Liam had experience with us already after the Skylanders cancellation leak, he knows how the internet works.

No doubt he does (didn’t remember he was the one reporting about the seventh game’s cancellation, by the way) but with all the recent fake leaks, announcements and mockery Spyro’s fans have received across the Internet I wouldn’t be surprised if he trolled a bit as well.
Just for fun of course, he basically confirmed the game once more just to calm angry fans down.

Doubt a timed PS4 exclusiveness would upset anyone after Crash, unless the PS4 wasn’t actually the first console to get the remakes...
