It's a video rather than a picture. Just a shadow of Spyro spinning around with the first game's theme song, you're hardly missing anything. Although you should be listening to the Song Shaper's music right now.

What's weird is that I do have a Facebook account, yet it still doesn't let me see it neither using the app nor the browser.

Thanks Johnbonne for telling us what's about, the fact they used a music from the first game keeps making me hope for remakes (I know it's probably because Spyro's pose is the one on that game's cover, but let me dream smilie).

What about the music you mentioned, though?

The statue that Crash10 posted on the first page. My guess was that was just a prototype due to it being based off of the early N. Sane trilogy boxart and they changed the pose because of this.

But that was another figure, a more economic one.
I don't think we have ever seen even the silhouette of the pricier one, correct me if I'm wrong.

Both figures seem amazing, Spyro's pedestal is almost as tall as his body. smilie

To be honest I think things like that nowadays would cost that. Judging by the look alone, I'd say that puts it at at least $100, but I think its weight and additional components (not a fan of light up flames, and plastic gems would be fine) probably bump up its price considerably. I'm not an artist or a smith of such things, so I can't say. I would imagine it's quite weighty - I was surprised my £99 DoW3 collector's edition Godsplitter hammer was as top-heavy as it was, and this thing looks huge. Then again, Molag Bal looked like he was made of solid gold/brass in the marketing, and pointing at him with a magnifying glass was there to subtly emphasise its size.

In a world where there's 7 versions of Assassin's Creed Origins and one of them costs $600, I'm not so surprised about how much video game statues cost. smilie

Quick word on the Crash one though: I don't think it's as good. It's still an excellent statue, but I'd not pay any more than £100 for it. I'd try get it for £60 second hand. There's no way I'm getting that Spyro one for that price. Maybe in the second life. Maybe when Hell freezes over. I can go iceskating with it.

Oh, that's a small PVC figure they created to celebrate N. Sane Trilogy's launch.
Should be around 80$, but I've seen it for less.

The actual bigger figure has yet to be revealed, you can see its silhouette at the top of this page. smilie

**** that's like the price of a console, will undoubtedly cost more down here and I still want a PS4 this year. :[ I want it so bad and this is the kind of thing I've wanted since childhood, but I can't justify that at all, by any stretch. I could buy several JoJo figurines for that price, if I'd really want to waste money on some toys, and get much more fun from them. Boo. I know F4F aren't meant to be cheap, and hell I've ordered that smaller Crash statue (but I might cancel it now, really wanted the duo but no chance I could get the bigger Crash statue instead if it costs similar to this), though this breaks my heart a bit. First Spyro thing we've gotten in so long, and it's a ridiculously expensive display piece that probably only a few of us here will ever get.

nobody here ever has seen quality custom statues before. $350 is average, has been for over 10years now. same company made okami and zelda statue lamps, cost $400 to $800. quality not cheap. not all can has. will save in case of elora.

As amazing as it looks and even though I would give up my firstborn for something like this, I'm not sure if I'm gonna get the Spyro statue at that price. If they make a PVC figure to celebrate the possible trilogy remaster like they did with Crash, then I'll get that instead.

Yep, I just don't see why invest so much time and money on something like that when Legend of Spyro and Skylanders' incarnation are much more known (these days) and recent.

Crash and Spyro have always been bound together, you can't bring back the bandicoot without touching the dragon as well.
They did it with the statues and Skylanders, now I'm waiting for the first three games to follow N. Sane Trilogy's route.

drek95 not realize legend nearly last spyro, critically panned, not popular, ignored by general public? skylanders not about spyro, he just in it. but classic spyro still a cultural icon, much loved, is what gets talked about when news or critics talk about spyro franchise! more recent incarnations not well known outside of spyro fandom. original spyro known even outside fandom. design recognizable, worth $325 as statue.

I agree that he's the most loved incarnation of Spyro (the Skylands one is probably the most know, even if basically hated, the Legend one is definitely not obscure but not as popular either) but I still don't think that would be worth a 300$ figure alone.

Looking at other First 4 Figures' products I've noticed they usually go for characters which kept almost the same design across the years or others which occasionally come back to their classic ones, like Sonic.
Spyro hasn't used that design since Year of the Dragon, at most Enter the Dragonfly; the GBA games technically use that design but the model itself is obviously different.

Crash's statue makes perfect sense seeing how they are bringing back the whole brand with a pretty big operation, from merchandise to the N. Sane Trilogy, but doing the same for Spyro just because he's the other PS1 mascot wouldn't seem logic.
A smaller figure to celebrate his 20 years, sure, not a very expensive one a lot of fans will probably never buy.

Spyro is in Skylands now yet I believe this is the first trace of official Classic merchandise we've seen in years.
Something's up, to me.

I don't get how anyone can find a statue worth $325, when it would be so much better to save money in my opinion, but that's just me. smilie I'm saying this as someone who has collected tons of Spyro merchandise in the past and I now regret it... It's just there. Even the stuff I still like and I've held on to. It's money I could have still had, and wish I did have, in my savings, to more easily afford more exciting/useful/important things and have tucked away for peace of mind. I know to some people collectables are one of those more exciting things, but at that price I don't get how some people can still be that excited and I'm partially just venting and wish it wasn't like this and things weren't this expensive.

Fingers really crossed for a smaller, cheaper one, there's no way in hell I'm buying this. After some consideration, I'm still getting the small Crash figure and even that at $88, when I'm not planning to buy anything else and I'm saving everything else I can next month, makes me feel pretty bad about using so much money.

(Also, I'm not poor or anything, I'm just sort of frugal and being pickier about what I buy has made me notice how I REALLY used to spend money on very unhealthy food, overpriced stuff I could have gotten for a lot cheaper and other stuff that is ultimately junk to me now and remains barely used/completely untouched.
Again, I know to some people this statue will be much more exciting and worth the price because of that, mainly saying I personally heavily disagree with that mindset now and I'm sad because I would like a cheaper statue and I don't like how the first Spyro thing we're getting in so long is something so goddamn expensive. Just a bit of a hype-killer when I was excited for this, have a lot of nostalgia that was hit by the teasers and am hopeful for a trilogy remake.)
