How was she being rude? I mean I guess the "what do you mean you guess, you're the science guy?" was kind of mean but other than that she was pretty neutral the whole time. The "no time" thing at the end was literally just her letting him know they need to switch to another segment soon.

She slumped down in exasperation often when he would start to discuss something beyond the basic statement she wanted. And switching to another segment comes down to the showrunners (and them) deciding to not spend too much time on an educational segment and instead move onto something more...well...pointless.

I watched The Today Show many years ago and while I was often in school by the time these two came on I recall them mostly being about nothing more than alcohol, partying, housekeeping/book stuff, and more or less the kind of junk you'd expect on daytime television with no real value to anyone other than approaching-middle-aged housewives who may be the only ones home at the given time. The demeanor she gives off when Bill starts to expand further about science suggests she doesn't wanna hear it and just go back to that, which tbh is pretty disrespectful and stupid.

I was never a big fan of Bill Nye. Not only because his show never aired here but also because nobody really cares about TV personalities in Finland. Even so, this whole sex junk thing was just unreal. It could've easily passed off as a parody. At least people can now see the ridiculousness of this delusional mindset.

Still, it's not really Bill's fault though. I'm sure he didn't write the thing, even though it might've even mirrored his actual personal political views.
He's not even a real scientist. He's just out to ride on his dwindling popularity and get paid in the process.
