Before we begin this night of fun, why don’t we cover some of the ground rules?
1. Everyone who wishes to play must ask in this thread. After you’ve been accepted—which you will—the Host will send you a PM with your role.
2. Everyone may only take on the role of one party guest.
3. Everyone must keep their role hidden from other party guests.
4. Voting will close 24-hours after it has been opened to allow other players time to vote.
The following are the roles available that players may receive:
Host: They are responsible for everything that goes on behind the scenes. This includes distributing roles, holding votes, and dealing with player moves.
For the sake of the game, I will be Host for the first play-through.
Regular Party Goer:
1. May vote.
Killer:
1. May vote.
2. Can kill one player every day. (Must PM Host player name)
3. Can choose to keep evidence on self or plant on another player. (Must PM Host decision)
Private Detective:
1. May vote.
2. Can investigate one player each day, revealing their role. (Must PM Host player name)
3. Can arrest any Killer they discover.
Below are the goals for particular roles.
Regular Party Goers and Private Detectives: To arrest all the Killers.
Killers: To kill all the Regular Party Goers and Private Detectives.
How it works:
The Killer/s private message the Host who they would like to kill.
The Host will announce who has been murdered and who the evidence has been found on.
The person who the evidence was found on will be put to trial.
The vote will commence, allowing all the players to vote Guilty or Not Guilty.
The Private Detective/s can now private message the Host with who they would like to investigate.
Roughly 24-hours after the vote starts, it will end. If the player has been found Guilty, they will be arrested. They can no longer participate, (however, feel free to interact OOC). If they have been found Not Guilty, then they will be free to go.
Players found to be guilty will have their role publicly announced
Private Detective/s will receive private message telling them what role the player they chose to investigate has. If they discovered a Killer, then they can make a public announcement to all of the other party goers and arrest the Killer without a trial. * Warning! This does in fact reveal who you are, allowing any other Killer to get rid of you.*
False arrests will be called out by Host
Rinse and Repeat.
