Grocery haul videos. It's pople filming what they got going grocery shipping (sometimes filming while they are shopping). It's basically unboxing videos for groceries. Why? What is the purpose, and why would you watch these? And most pressing question: WHY IN THE EVER-LOVING **** DOES ONE OF THESE HAVE OVER 1 MILLION VIEWS?

i'm guessing people get a following and then they stop being creative with vid ideas

nobody is actually interested in watching random people go grocery shopping

they just want to watch the people that they're interested in

I mean, I'd make a joke too, but I would be lying if I said I don't occasionally like to watch Toy Hunting or Toy Haul videos.

I can at least justify unboxings for figures/toys as they can help you get a good look of how it looks and works and junk to help decide if you really want it. But this is ****ing groceries.... Who the hell actually cares that you just bought cat litter on sale or found some regular can of vegetables that is in literally every damn grocery store in the country...

Just like the weird Spiderman and Elsa videos, there's a ton of botting involved with some "kid" channels. Most of it is still kids/easily entertained people watching the videos on repeat, but according to reddit it's how these videos get to the top to be seen by said people.

Though as Ninpire said it could be the youtuber, but honestly I can't bear to watch Lootcrate and casual vlogs from anyone even if I like them, so I don't get it either.

The only reason I can see why this is successful is because it touches the consumerist nature of some people, but even then, there are far more interesting products to be unboxed. Like consoles, Toys-to-Life games/figures, and others.
