hehe i remember what picture youre talking about. he was adorable and so sweet. when my cousins were babies he'd curl up with them. i made a lot of mistakes with malinko and i wish i could go back and fix them.

all my tanks currently have co2 but i had an accident with it a week ago. i gassed a whole tank and lost a betta and 6 endlers. abaddon and louie are my only bettas left. besides popcorn and fiji, all my bettas died from causes that were out of my control. so im focusing on giving abaddon and louie the best of the best because if they're gonna go down the road of kidney failure like my other bettas have then i want to give them the best life.

No, I was a kid and couldn't/wouldn't clean their cage once a week like you're supposed to, and the only other person there was my Grandma who physically couldn't do it. I got tired and the responsibility was too much for me at the time.

Oh, laziness then.
Having a pet is a BIG responsibility

A general statement:
You're supposed to clean their cage more than once a week. Whenever it gets too dirty it needs a clean. Which will likely be 2-3 times a week.
They are also more expensive than people think, as they require fresh fruit and vegetables to obtain enough vitamin C.

Pet stores are to blame a lot of the time by advertising them as 'easy'.

My mom sent me two wonderful pictures of my kitty children, Icarus and Kuro! I think the last time I posted pictures of them they were kittens, but they're all grown up now. (Yes, Icarus does have two different eye colors! It's a bit hard to tell in this picture, though.)

I've always wanted to know, how do you keep birds and cats in the same house? Is there any danger of the cat trying to catch them?

my cat is declawed (no we didnt do it to her nor do we encourage it) and shes also terrified of them. it really just depends on the cat and their prey drive. usually if i enter the room with the birds she leaves.
