I don't mind it at all. It's different, but it makes it feel fresh and exciting.

It's pretty tight, yo! I am legit loving the new boxes. They remind me of Funko Pops, but much larger! And considering how well Pops look in the box, I'd say that they've really out done themselves this year.

That being said, it is going to look super awkward for in-box collectors to display these. Luckily, I rip my Skylanders open!

"I seldom leave Skylanders in their boxes. I would much rather rip straight into the packaging and leave the toy open"

Better?

I like it. It looks like it will be really good to keep and use for storage, which I've started to do sometimes.

With how big it seems to be (especially the adventure packs), it should be able to hold multiple smaller Skylanders (like Cores or SuperChargers).

I definately like the packaging, and unlike previous years I can keep the boxes around after opening and maybe even change around a single displayed skylander on the back of the shelf for variety.

Looks great. And we can actually keep the boxes. I'm thinking if I'll do that or not.

This is easily their best packaging job ever. Almost feels like the Elite packaging in most regards.

Great artwork on the outside, secure figures on the inside. Only Trap Masters packaging themselves allowed one to examine the full figure for painting mistakes.

Love the packaging, only one thing I have to keep rather than the cardback and name tag paper. The packaging for the Dark Edition is also incredible lots of holo effects. They definitely gave the graphic design department more money this year.

After actually opening them, they're both collector quality and easy to open as well. If only collector cards and stickers were back.

Reminds me of Funko Pops. I like that they are easier to store than the carded figures of the past. I have those stored in comic book long boxes.

I have to say, I *really* liked the packaging for the SWAP Force Dark Edition best. It was a beauty.

I think it's great but I wonder about it's effect in the market a bit. It looks and feels "premium" and the price point is a bit high, but I guess reasonable enough for the size and stuff. I think it was a good move and it sets them apart from "bubble card" TTL products (like Infinity and Amiibo) and is very different from the boxes of the Dimensions figures. In doing so, like I mentioned they've set their product apart as a more "premium" experience. I'm going to be curious to see sales numbers and if they were higher or lower that before.

For a collector like myself, its kind of harder now to figure out how to display them, since I love the box a lot lol

I'm sure retailers like it a lot.

Actually I was figuring it might be the opposite. A lot of the display areas for the TTL stuff were set up for more "pegged" items like the current Skylanders and amiibos, and Dimensions figures. And while the new SI figures have peg holes on them for hanging, they can't really store as many on the shelves as far as I can tell. My target's pegs only allowed for 2 max on each peg.

i like it alot and prob would keep them boxed if iw as still keeping a sealed set, unforunately i had to open or trash my sealed set for room issues at our new place smilie At some point i can hopefully put them all in a display case of something.

i like the new packaging, to start you can actually get the figures out without destroying it and 2 the box art is nice. im keeping the boxes, i fold them flat that way they dont take up a ton of roon.

I love them and they stack so very nicely...but they are kind of unnecessary in size in my opinion...
