What value is there in leveling up (scanning / digitally accepting) multiples of the same card? I haven't seen any, so running it by the gang here.

It unlocks the other worlds by increasing your Skylander Level!

OK, so I'm at Kaos Realm, so basically at this point, it's throwing points/coins away.

Well, they unlock cool animations for spells. But yeah, they're just a way of keeping people from rushing it without playing every Realm first and nothing else.

Too late with the rushing thing! Leveling up should be a way to strengthen your character but is not. I think that's where they dropped the ball on this game.

Thank you Activision for making me spend my hard earned money on frivolous items! I'm sure my kids will understand when their inheritance is Skylander's!

The game isn't just about single player, and it's also for kids. If you could just grind your way to the top there'd be no incentive for them, it's like trying to get into an MMO dozens of expansions later and finding out everyone is 40 levels ahead.
