What i admire about africa in some cases is they have a culture and lanugage. Which is usually true with most languages. And there is nothing wrong with adding some cultural influence to a language aswell. Lets take my favorite african english language.

Jamaican. I can barely understand ****, and yet it sounds awesome.

Swahili. I like the way the words are pronounced and it sounds interesting..


Ebonics however... my greatest experience with this was playing GTA San Andreas, i think that is where i got introduced. And you had no idea how much **** fun i made out of the english pronunciation with my friends in my age of teens, i assumed it was just gangster english but apparently not. I mean i will assume this is not how ebonics in its purity is like and is more massive slang on it. But honestly if this is what most of it sounds like then i have trouble taking it seriously. And this is not dissing on african roots or something, i just find the wordings and structure just awfully friggin bad.

This video is a parody but that is honestly how i imagine it.


And here is a professor who has taken issue on it, and how it seems to be problematic and how to perfect it.

1. Something about that first video makes it feel more like a spoof of ebonics than a truly accurate representation. Some of it sounds right but a good portion also seems........off?

2. It's a dialect that comprises of largely slang terms. Second video is correct in that it shouldn't really be used in professional environments and settings but there's nothing inherently wrong with ebonics.

I am not American. I am Irish. I was born and raised in Ireland my whole life. America under Trump's rule would be the closest example to real-life existential horror. To see a bigoted, out-of-touch tyrant with armies, tanks, military-based technology and worst of all nuclear weapons at his disposal.

Before you say anything, I am genuinely afraid of terrorism. From Putin's Russia to Burma to Islamic State and just about every hate-group and anti-human rights organisation imaginable. But why should I believe America to be one of the good guys if under the thumb of someone who looks down on every human being who, isn't him, with dismiss at best and contempt at worst? Even when looking at us Irish, he thinks we're all small potatoes and think we'll all drunk.
